Did the local 10k run in Lewiston Utah. I won it last year in 36 minutes and was told by the race director I wouldn't won it this year. That kind of sparked my desire to run it. I started out my first mile in 5:18. There was a few guys staying with me. Second mile had head wind and was flat but on a gravel and I couldn't get traction. I settled into a 5:40 pace after that with some incline and a steep hill that was .25 mile long at the 4th mile. It was a nice day out. I was congested with a sinus infection but happy to break 35 minutes.

Walter, Walter, Walter. Where's the drama? I want to know how you beat down the competition and stuck it to the race director.

From Walter on Mon, Jul 05, 2010 at 13:16:56 from 68.171.231.21

Burt, I'm not on my computer. But yes Last year the race director had a nice watch that she gave out to the winner and was pretty sore that I had won so she informed me it wouldn't happen this year. She wouldn't even look at me today. Lol

What's up with that? I mean the race director's behavior.. Anyway I admire you for running a race with as sick as you have been. Good job Walt.

You were not a local is that why? obvious maybe huh?

From MichelleL on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 00:18:57 from 67.41.165.45

Wow, what did you win this year? Her first born? Ha! Nice job sticking it to the man (er, woman).

Tango slap the race director that will wake him up cos you won it lol well done Walter nice running and you beat last years time :))))

From Walter on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 08:47:23 from 68.171.235.48

Steve, she did ask me what my business was up there last year and I told her my wife was from there. Funny thing is her daughter who lives in South Jordan ran it also. Some people are just very competitive I guess.

Michelle, you would think I had taken her child from the look she gave me.

Sammie, is the tango slap the one where you palm slap then backhand slap?

From jtshad on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 11:12:49 from 204.134.132.225

Great time, congrats on the win. What a horse's a$$ of a RD!

From Burt on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 12:12:46 from 206.19.214.144

I'm not sure Walter is telling us the whole story. Are you sure you didn't try to put the moves on her daughter or something?

From Bec on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 17:54:48 from 76.23.55.210

Super duper fast Walter B! Great job. Nice to see that you are biking some.

From Walter on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 18:01:44 from 68.171.231.19

Jeff I know. Ill keep tormenting her too!

Burt, I was hoping for the side of beef but ill take the daughter I guess.

Becster, that's all ice been doing the past 2 weeks. If the Utah drivers weren't so freakin crazy I'd be on it more.

From Burt on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 18:23:29 from 206.19.214.144

I thought that's what you meant by side of beef. The midwest farmer's daughter...

From Rossy on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 19:18:02 from 151.151.16.8

Walter, very impressive with running a sub-35-minute 10k (I hope to run this fast one of these days)! Also, great job with disappointing the Lewiston RD!

From Predog on Tue, Jul 06, 2010 at 22:19:26 from 24.10.140.186

Hey it was nice to meet you. That's a load of crap about the race director. I didn't even know they had awards. I guess I was earning my star for the race or something when they did that. :P I wonder how she felt about "out of towners" in SGRC singlets winning both races... hahaha

From Walter on Wed, Jul 07, 2010 at 00:24:29 from 24.10.169.110

Burt, omg!

Rossy, Thanks I wished I had someone to push me. My give a damn sort of went out the window when I did the turn around to find nobody behind me.

Joe, great running to the border man! Good thing your green card hasnt expired! Ill see you in TOU half maybe if your running it.
