My workout totally got messed up this morning.

A.  I slept in....that is never good.  I always feel guilty leaving my kids.

B.  I had to drop off all the samples for the 400 skirts.  She called at 7:50am and needed me in Orem by 8:30am.  I was still in my jammies being lazy in bed.  But she was 20 minutes late. So I didn't get to the gym till after 9:00am.  WAY too many people for my liking!

I decided it is time to put on my big girl running shoes and do some speed work.  I asked RAD about all her speed work.  So I decided to do the 1 min hard/1 min easy.  I needed 4 miles today, so I did a 1 mile w/u and 1mile c/d and 2 miles of hard/easy.

I did my hards at 9.5mph and my easys at 6.3mph.  It was definitely hard.  I started when the timer on the the TM said 10 minutes and did the speed until I got a little over 3 miles.  My last hard I did at 9.8mph in honor of RAD since she can't run (I about barfed too :)   ).

Lots of stretching and foam rolling.

More sewing today.....

Glad you still got your speed work in on a messed up morning! :)

I like the one min easy one min hard workout! I first read about it from an elite runner on RW, except I think she did it on the road! anyway she suggests doing it 20x so 40 min. It became a popular TM speed work on the blog here because it makes the time goes by fast and less boring. Your hard min is a lot faster than I could ever run! GOOD WORK!!!

awww, I love it! :) Great job Toby! See, you have that speed in those legs - you just have to pull it out. That is what this workout always helps me remember! You did awesome! Keep up the hard work!!!
