2.5 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Had to stop our 21 month old son was wanting my attention to watch him do the "hot dog dance" at the end of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Thanks to all those who took the time and nicely welcomed me to the blog!
| | 2 miles in the morning on the treadmill. | |
| | 2.5 miles in the hot windy afternoon. Ran our 2 mile Hurricane Bridge route then .5 mile around the neighborhood to get my 15 mile week goal in. I did it!!! Dustin let me take his garmin and ipod with his new Now 27 songs. My times were: 1st mile 10:11 2nd mile 10:83 ran towards the wind .5 mile 5:35

2.5 miles on the treadmill in the morning. The 2 miles I decided to try running at a faster speed than I have been so I stepped it up one. I ran them at 10 minute pace. The .5 mile I turned it down to cool down some and did it in 6 minutes. It about killed me but I did it! I am shooting for 15 miles again this week hopefully. I would like to try and get a jogging stroller so I can get out and enjoy the wonderful spring weather! 3 miles I went out with Dustin in the evening. Ran around La Verkin while we were out we ran into some of our neighbors about the 2nd mile so finished running with them. It was fun running with a group. Time went by a lot faster. Times were 1st mile 10:13 2nd mile 10:44 3rd mile 11:13=31:30 overall

2 miles on the treadmill in the morning. Time was 10:00+11:06=21:06. I was struggling today probably from the late night run last night. My thigh muscles were twitching all night long. Might try running some more tonight with Dustin. 2 miles in the evening to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back. 1st mile by myself 2nd mile met up with Dustin. Time 20:00.
| |
| | 2.5 on treadmill in the morning. 2 miles=22:03 my thigh muscles are still pretty tight. .5 miles to cool down. I want to try and go out again in the evening. | |
| |
2.5 miles on the treadmill in the morning. 2 Miles=21:06 .5 miles to cool down. I want to try and go out this evening and run some more if I can. I did not get out last night too much going on.
2 miles in the evening ran to my parents house and back. The wind was blowing pretty good here. 2 Miles:20:53
| | 2 miles in the morning on the treadmill. 2 miles=22:08 I think that my body is getting tired. I have probably thrown it in shock starting to run consistently. But I am feeling good and am going to keep sticking to it. I am sure it will get better. I guess that I have "chick" Dustin this week (according to Sasha) this will be the only time I am sure. I have passed up my 15 mile/week goal. I my have to change it to 20 mile/week. | |
| | 2.5 miles in the evening with Dustin. Ran to Farmer's Market along 300 West. Started running with Dustin but he had to stop and so I took off without him. 1st mile 11:10 with a few stops for Dustin. 2nd mile 9:00 Dustin had me run as fast as I could. .5 mile ran back to catch up with Dustin to head home. Ran in my new shorts that we got at Steve's store today. I really like them. Great way to end the week! | |
| |
2 miles in the evening. Ran from our house over to Hurricane Elementary School then Dustin picked me up to go get some dinner. 1st mile (mostly uphill) 9:45 2nd mile 9:25
Busy day today. I had to clean my parents rental property here in town. It took most of the day. Then my mom and I bottled 20 lbs of chicken. So then I finally got my run in tonight.
| |
2 miles on the treadmill in the morning. Time: 21:18 My knees were feeling really tight and not wanting to bend. I will try to go out again later tonight. 2.5 miles in the evening. My sister wanted to try running with me so we went out. We ran 1.5 miles at her pace she wanted and it was way too slow for me. Then I dropped her off and ran 1 more mile alone. Time 9:26
|
| |
2.5 miles on the treadmill in the morning. 2 mile time 21:08 .5 cool down Will probably go out again tonight. Knees still feeling a bit stiff or tight. I was kind of tired too. I was up most the night with a baby not wanting to sleep. 3 miles in the late evening. 2 miles with my sister again we ran up and back on 300 West. Did it a little faster but not as fast as I like. Time was 23:47 Then I dropped her off and ran another mile by myself up and back on 300 West again. Time was 9:41 I am ready for bed hope I can get a good nights sleep tonight!!!! Knees were still stiff I put some icy hot on them before running and they felt pretty good after a while.
| |
| | 2 miles on the treadmill in the morning. I kept it at a 11:00 pace the whole time because of my knees being sore but they felt a bit better during todays run. | |
| | 2 miles late this evening. Ran to the Hurricane Bridge and back. Time was 10:00, 9:20=19:20 It was quite windy (as usual) and my knee is still bothering me I may have to rest it a few days?! Dustin thinks I might have runner's knee??? It was quite a busy day but at least I got some running in finally. |
| | 1 slow mile on the treadmill in the morning. That is about all my knee could stand. The rest of me wanted to go longer though. I rested and iced my knee some Saturday and Sunday. It must need more time. | |
| | 1 mile to the school to pick Jansen up. I took our new jogging stroller that we got last night. Good slow run but my knee is still bothering me so I took it easy. I just wanted to try the stroller out. We got a Baby Trend Expedition. I think that I am going to like it.
| |
| | 2.5 on the treadmill in the morning. 2 miles at 12:00 pace .5 mile 15:00 pace cool down. I wrapped my knee it did pretty good until the last 1/4 mile and then I could really feel it starting to stiffen and popping. I will now go ice it for a while and see what it brings the rest of the day. I hope I did not do too much. | |
| | 2.5 slow miles on the treadmill in the morning. 2 miles at 12:00 pace .5 miles at 15:00 pace for cool down. I wrapped my knee again not as much pain today. I will ice it again some. | |
| | 2.5 miles on the treadmill in the morning. 2 miles at 12:00 pace .5 miles at 15:00 pace cool down. Same as the past few days. I wrapped my knee it felt pretty good. I will ice it some too. Hopefully it is getting better. If the darn wind would quit blowing I would like to take the stroller out. It sure is whipping out there. | |
| | 1.3 miles in the afternoon with the jogging stroller while Dustin tried "patiently" to teach Jansen to ride bike. Knee started to hurt once I stopped. Went home and iced it. 1 mile I walked to the school and back at a fast pace to Jansen's soccer game. The weather was wonderful finally no wind! |
| |
OK! I got a little carried away listening to our new Toby Keith CD we bought. 3.5 miles in the morning on the treadmill slow and easy. 3.25 miles at 12:00 pace .25 miles at 15:00 pace. I wrapped my knee and took 2- ibuprofen. It felt pretty good the entire run. I never have put this info when I run on the treadmill but the incline is 1.5 that is as low as our treadmill goes and that is what I have always had it at. I am going to ice my knee for sure. Decided to take Jarren out in the stroller this afternoon. 2 miles ran to my parents and back in the blazing 85* heat. Times if my stroller timer worked right. 8:47 9:28 Not bad if it was working right. Knee felt pretty good I did not wrap it this time out. It was good to get out though and enjoy the sunshine.
| |
| | 2 miles in the morning outside with the jogging stroller. Ran up to my parents and back. Pretty windy and already 70* out there. Time was 21:35 I guess my stroller timer/mileage marker does work I took the garmin out just to see if it worked right. They had the same calculations. | |
| | 3.5 miles in the morning on the treadmill. 3.1 miles 35:05 .4 miles cool down at 15:00 pace. I keep it easy for my knees sake. I would like to try running the La Verkin 5K loop Dustin measured out and get an idea outside rather than on the treadmill. Maybe tonight if I get some time. The wind is just blowing so hard here so I did not want to go out with the stroller. | |
| | 2.25 miles this morning on the treadmill. 2 miles = 20:15 .25 miles = 3.45 cool down. I had my knee wrapped and it felt pretty good so it may be getting better. I know I keep saying this I want to try and run the La Verkin 5K loop. I did not do it yesterday because the nasty wind was no stop. If it dies down today I will do it today! |
| | 3.1 miles woke up at 7 am and did the La Verkin 5K loop with Dustin. Felt pretty good other than the Chinese Buffet we ate last night with Dustin Parents that at visiting us from Colorado. Time 29:42 9:35 average pace 1-9:49 2-9:34 3-9:26 .1-:51 | |
| |
Viva Las Vegas! No running today did a lot of walking around though. Coming back Sunday then leaving again for Salt Lake City until Monday evening. I did sign up to run the Hurricane 1/2 5K race. My first race!
|
| | 2 miles in the evening. Ran with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller to the fire hydrant on 300 West. Time 9:35 / 9:14=18:49 First time running without wrapping my knee. It felt good no pain. It also felt good to get out and run after a good weekend of fast food and snacking on junk. | |
| | 2 miles in the morning. Ran the same route as I did last night to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back. This time I was pushing Jarren in the stroller. Time 10:20 / 9:10 = 19:30 Going out I had a hard time getting going plus I had to stop for a car that decided to run the stop sign almost hitting me. Felt good did not wrap my knee again no pain or problems yet. | |
| | 3.1 miles in the evening. Ran the LaVerkin 5K loop with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller. Knee felt pretty good again not pain. Great night for a run nice and cool with a little breeze. Time overall 29:00 Average pace 9:22 1-10:10 2-8:48 3-9:09 .1-:51 | |

Going on a field trip with Jansen's kindergarten class to the wildlife museum in St George. I will have to run tonight. After I got back from the field trip I helped my dad trim his hedge which took several hours because it was rather large. Then as we were getting ready to go Jarren fell down the concrete stairs and hit his mouth and loosened a tooth so I had to take him over to St George to the dentist to check it out. Ends up he has cracked his jaw and it loosened his tooth. So my day has been very eventful. But I did finally get a short run in and it has been my best time so far! and even in the wind!
2 miles in the evening to the bridge and back. VERY windy!! Time 18:00
| |
2 miles in the morning with Jarren in the stroller. Ran 300 West to fire hydrant and back. Time 9:48/9:52=19:00 Felt tired the whole run but it was nice to get out. I did have to get up several time last night with Jarren that may be why I'm still tired. I would like to go do 2 more miles tonight too. I got in a car accident with Jansen and Jarren this afternoon so I may not go out tonight. I'm a bit shaken up. Luckily no one got hurt thank goodness. It was not my fault, but looks like I'll be a few days without my car.
| |
3.25 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 32:30 10:00 pace Felt good knee has felt good all week too. I would have gone longer but my son unplugged the treadmill so it was a sudden stop at a good time I guess. I went outside and walked it off some in the nice wind. I might have to go run some more later tonight so I can at least get 15 miles for the week. I did not sleep very well last night I kept having flash backs from the accident yesterday. The reason why I am thinking because I have only been in 2 car accidents and 17 years ago was when the other one happened and it actually happened at the exact intersection. What is the chances of that?!? The other weird thing was My sister and I were actually talking about the 1st accident while we were walking to the school to pick up our boys that morning. Ok I better quit rambling on.
|
| |
3.25 in the morning on the treadmill. Time 32.30 10:00 pace. My neck was hurting some maybe from my car accident?? But I felt good over all.
1 more mile in the early afternoon. Ran with Jarren in the stroller to pick Jansen up from school. .5 mile to the school Time 4:20 .5 mile back from the school with Jansen jogging along Time 6:00 Total time 10:20
| |
| | 3.25 on the treadmill in the morning. 3 miles =30:00 .25 miles = 3.33 slowed it down to cool off. It is way to warm to be running on the treadmill in my house. I was burning up and I even had the fans going. I tried watching the Price is Right without Bob it is just not the same. Sorry Drew! Felt good ! No pain anywhere today just overheated! | |
| | 1 measly mile to the school with the stroller. Time I think was around 10:20 I really can't remember to be honest. My day was very busy. I had to deal with the insurance and appraisers about getting our car fixed. Then I had to get our car towed to St George and then meet them at the auto body shop to sign paper work. What a long day! And to top that off I had Jarren barfing all day too. |
| | 3.25 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time was 32:30 Same as I usually do. Got to go buy a new car seat today the insurance is sending someone out to pick up the one I had. I guess if a car seat has been in an accident no matter how serious it is it has to be disposed of and buy new per the law. So I am headed back to St George again today. | |
| | 2.25 miles in the evening on the treadmill. 2 miles = 20:00 min .25 miles cool down at a slower pace = 5:00 minutes. Another busy day. I had to go get my Utah drivers license. Yes I never change my Colorado license over when we moved here. The Highway Patrolman was going to cite me for that but was nice and gave me a week to get it changed over. I am excited to run my first 5K race in the morning! Hope I can do it! Goal I hope for is around 30:00 minutes or less. Good luck to whoever else is running the Hurricane 1/2 and 5K too! | |
| Race: |
Hurricane Half Marathon 5K (3.1 Miles) 00:26:11, Place overall: 7, Place in age division: 2
Ran my first 5K! Great race despite the difficult night of staying up with sick kids until 2:00 am and had to be at the race at 5:30 am. Then Dustin set the alarm for 4:45 pm not am and we were lucky that he suddenly woke up at 5:28 am. We made a mad dash to get dressed and over to the bus. Got there as the last buses where getting ready to pull out. Nice morning a bit on the chilly side though. No wind that was the best!! I was really impress let alone surprised with my times. I did not realize that I was going that fast. I got a silver medal for taking 2nd place in my age division. I am glad that I signed up and did it!
Time: 26:11 Average pace 8:25
1-7:59 2-9:13-quite a bit of uphill 3.1-8:59
| | No run at all today. I finally took Jarren to the doctor since he has been sick over a week. He has 2 ear infections again. This makes 5 since Dec. Then we had a BBQ/Swimming birthday party for my cousins daughter over in St George. That took the whole night and now I really don't feel like getting out and running. |
| | 3.25 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 32.30 I had to stop after 2 miles and get a cold wet rag for my face. I was way too hot I felt like I was about to pass out. It must be getting too hot for the treadmill for me. But I got back on and ran 1.25 more miles. | |
| | HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY JANSEN!!!!! 3.25 Miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 33:30 3 miles=30:00 .25 miles=3:30 slow to cool down. I was burning up again! Today is Jansen's 6th birthday! And Wii are going to have a party!!!
| |
| | 3.25 in the morning on the treadmill. Time 32:00 3 miles=28:40 .25 miles=3:20 I had a gut ache for most of the last mile. I am sure it was due to the pizza and birthday cake from last nights party! But it was fun! | |
| | Another hot 3.25 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 32:00 3 miles=29:00 .25 miles =3:00. I got kind of dizzy for a minute trying to watch Jansen play his new Mario Kart game so I had to change the position of the treadmill. Now to packing Jarren and I are headed to Salt Lake to take my grandma to a Mother's Day Brunch while Dustin, Jordan and Jansen go to the Father's and Son's campout. | |
| | After a weekend of not running, eating good food and having fun I hit the treadmill. I could feel that my body did not want to get going for a while. But I did get the 3.25 miles in 33:30 done. I was going to go outside to run but it was way too windy. I may try and go outside tonight if I find time. | |
| | 3.25 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 33:00 Felt good until I rolled my right ankle at about 2.70 miles into the run. But I kept going hoping it would work it out. Wish the wind would quit so I could go out and run with the stroller again. On a good note I get to go pick up our car finally! It's finally fixed-I hope! | |
| | What a nice morning for a run! No wind and it was not hot yet. Ran the LaVerkin 5K loop backwards than the normal way we usually run it. Had Jarren in the stroller he fell asleep before the 1st mile. So nice to be outside and off the treadmill! Time 30:08 1-10:18 2- 9:40 3.1-10:02 | |
| | What a busy day! I had to take our youngest son Jarren to the dentist today to get his siamese tooth fixed. He ended up getting 2 root canals and 2 caps. They did this under sedation so he was out of it for quite some time after. What a trooper he is. Then we had t-ball for Jansen. I finally got my short 2 mile run in at 9:30 pm. Time: 9:13/9:23=18:33 I ran to the fire hydrant and back on 300 West. Very windy the whole entire run. All I can say is I am so sick of the wind it sure can stop anytime soon! | |
| | 3 great miles outside with Jarren in the stroller. I really did not have a real route I just ran all over LaVerkin with Mr. Garmin telling me the distance. Time: 29:37 9:47/9:35/10:15 Nice to get outside there was a little breeze to keep me cool because it was starting to warm up pretty fast.! Jarren loves going in the stroller he always falls asleep around mile 1 but when he is awake he always loves running past all the animals. He gets really excited. | |
| | 3.25 miles around La Verkin this evening. Ran with Dustin pushing the stroller. Nice and hot still! Time: 29:25 10:01/9:48/9:36 Busy day planting the garden. Finally got my run in this evening hoping that it would cool down but not much! |
| | Holy Hot!!!! Its going to be a hot one today!!! Did 3.1 miles in the hot morning with Jarren in the stroller. Went to the school dropped Jansen off at school and went North on Main down to Farmer's over to 300 West down the Overlook back to 300 West over to Center up to 400 West then back home. I has Jansen jog to school so that was a bit slow that stretch. Time: 31:12 11:00/10:00/10:12 | |
| | Another Hot one today! Same 3.1 mile run as yesterday with Jarren in the stroller and Jansen jogging along. Dropped Jansen off at school so the first .5 mile was a bit slower. A breeze was starting to pick up some.
Time: 31:41 11:09/10:12/10:20
| | No run today. I had Jansen's Kindergarten Graduation to go to. Way to go Jansen!!!! Then the weather got really yucky between the horrible wind and the off and on rain I had no desire to go out. The treadmill was just not appealing me either. We also had t-ball games to go too. |
| |
Not a good day for a run. I just was struggling through it. I was up
off and on all night with Jarren and then he decided at 4:00
am he was up for the morning. So I really was dragging on todays run.
Ran 1 mile outside with Jarren in the stroller and for .5 of the mile
Jansen jogging along until we got him to school. Then I decided the
weather was still yucky and cold so I ran 2.1 on the treadmill. 1 mile
outside 10:04 --2.1 miles on the treadmill 21:04 Overall time 31:08 Now
I've got to get to doing laundry and packing we are headed out to
Colorado and then Milwaukee for about 10 days.
| |
| | 3 miles in the morning on the treadmill. Time 30:00 We are headed to Colorado this afternoon for a few days and then to Milwaukee for a week. I hope to get some running in but I am not sure when and if it will all fit in but I will try. The plan is to run a 5K on Monday in Colorado. | |
| | We made it to Craig, Colorado late last night. A good 9 hour drive. The little boys slept most of the way so they were not tired once we got there and the excitement of seeing their Grandparents was beyond. I sure was ready for bed but they were not. Finally got to bed about 2 am. Got up and realized my in-laws had a treadmill so I got on it and ran 3 miles. Time was 28:06 I really overheated they had their fireplace going. So after the run I went outside in the cool crisp Colorado air. It was a nice cool off. Dustin and I are planning to run the 5K on Monday. Tonight Dustin and I are going to the Collin Raye concert here in town. | |
| Race: |
Boot Scoot 5K (2.8 Miles) 00:26:42, Place overall: 6, Place in age division: 2 | | Ran the Boot Scoot 5K here in Craig, Colorado with Dustin. Well he left me in the dust and then came back to get me. He took 1st place. They did not have any awards or even timed us. Not even any after race treats either. Dustin had his Garmin and the race was not quite a 5K even. But according to my watch my time was 26:42. They did not have the miles marked so I don't know the splits for them. There were some major hills most of the race. But I am glad I got up and ran it. I was the 2nd girl that finished. I ran with the 1st girl most of the way she had her dog with her. Then Dustin came back and got me and ran with me about .5 left of the race.
| | 2.5 miles in the cool crisp Colorado air. Ran from the in-laws house down County Road 31 to their stoage sheds. A good up and down hill run. |
| | Made it to Milwaukee!!! Not sure if a run will get in today or not. |
| | Walked around the Milwaukee Zoo all day long. It was really fun to see the boys all excited about the animals. Rain some of the time we were there but it ended up being a nice day. No run but a lot of hours of walking. |
| | Drove to Illinois to go to Six Flags. Spent the entire day there. Hours of walking again. Not doing to good at getting any runs in. But hey were on vacation right!?! |
| |
Spent the entire day walking Downtown Chicago and Navy Pier. It was a lot of fun. Plenty of walking again! This has not been a very good week for running miles for me. I am planning to finish the vacation and then once we get back home and on a normal schedule I will get back to running!
|
| | Drove to Madison from Milwaukee to fly back to Colorado |
| | Spent the day in Colorado with Dustin's parents. Got there really early in the morning like 2:45 am |
| | Traveled home from Colorado |
| |
Finally back from vacation with no running for over a week! Ran the La Verkin 5K loop with Dustin. I could feel the slacking from vacation really bad. Time 31:06 I forgot to time the splits. Felt pretty good other than when a bug flew into my eye and I could not get it out. I had to stop and have Dustin help me.
| |
| | Ran the La Verkin 5K loop backwards with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. Time: 30:20 Average pace 9:47
1-9:58 2-9:32 3-9:58 .1-.51
| | Had a busy day today. Jordan had Basketball games this morning and then we took the boys to the Kung Fu Panda movie and then Jordan had a guitar concert in the evening he performed at. But finally got time for a run. Ran our same La Verkin 5K loop this time in the evening with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. Time: 31:03 1-10:34-got a bug in my eye again 2- 9:48 3-9:42 .1-.57 | |
| | Dustin and I (with Jarren in the stroller) did a loop I'll refer to as the Overlook 5K. Basically left our house, ran down main street, past Farmer's Market, then down through the Overlook Subdivison and back home on 300 West. For some reason we slower than normal. Time: 33:00 (10:41/10:37/10:33/1:08) It probably did not help much having Wendy's for dinner but our neighbor friends invited us to go there with them. And that we did not get out to run until 10:00 pm. The weather was get though!
|
| |
2 miles in the morning with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. We got a late start and it was way too hot for us. We ran to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back home. Time: 18:37 Splits: 9:34/9:03 I would like to try and get some more in tonight once it tries to cool down some. 2 miles in the evening with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. Same run as this morning to the fire hydrant and back home. It was a bit slower time. We went to a BBQ and ate some pretty good food and it was just not feeling right. Time: 20:53 10:33/10:20
| |
| | No run today. Too much going on. I was planning to run in the evening but then Dustin took longer than planned on his VERY long run. Our friends from Kodiak Alaska were leaving in the morning so I spent the morning with them until they took off. Then it was a bit too warm for a run. |
| |
3 miles with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. Ran over past the elementary school down main down Howard's lane down to Pah Tempe up the killer hill over the bridge and back home. Time: 33:26 Splits: 10:06/13:07 (this had the killer hill we mostly walked up it since we had the stroller) 10:13 3.1 more miles in the evening again with Dustin and Jarren in the stroller. We ran our same ol' La Verkin 5K loop. Time: 30:28 Splits: 10:32/9:27/10:26 (I forgot to split the .1 from the 3 miles so that is added in the last split) This is the most miles I have ran in one day.
| |
| |
2 miles in the hot morning all by myself to the fire hydrant and back home. Got a late start so it was already burning hot. But I needed to get a short run in before Dustin and Jordan leave to scout camp today. Time: 18:49 Splits: 9:31/9:18
1 mile in the evening with Jarren in the stroller and Jansen jogging along. Not very fast but we were jogging. I did not take a watch for a time. But I thought I would count it because we were going at a pretty decent jogging pace.
| | 3.1 miles in the evening with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller. We switched off pushing the stroller tonight. Really slow run. Still 95* out. Time: 33:54 Splits: 11:52/10:14/11:47(this had the last mile and .1) But hey we got out right?! |
| | Happy 2nd Birthday Jarren!!! Our baby is 2 now~ Oh boy!!! Let the fun begin if it hasn't already:O) |
| |
4 miles in the late evening all by myself under the full moon. I ran to the fire hydrant and back and then to the bridge and back. Our house is in the middle of these two mile marks. I was feeling good so I thought I might as go for it. Time: 38:15 Splits: 9:30/9:21/9:53/9:29 The 3rd mile going up to the bridge was mostly up hill. This is the most I have ran without stopping!! Felt good!
|
| | 4 miles in the late evening with Dustin. We ran to the substation in Hurricane over by the baseball fields and back home. This was a new route for me to run. Mostly uphill the first two miles. Time: 38:24 Splits: 9:40/10:50/9:02/8:50 Dustin had me really push it back home. I was dying from all the uphill but I did it! | |
| |
3.1 miles in the late evening with Dustin. We ran the LaVerkin 5K loop. Running was a bit slow paced not bad though. I enjoy the time running with Dustin. Time: 31:16 Splits: 11:47/8:46/10:43 1st mile I forgot to press the split at the mile mark so the 1st 2 miles are a bit off on the timing. Last mile had 1.1 miles time. We are headed to Salt Lake tomorrow for the WBR Dustin is running in. We are staying up there for a week in Murray.
|
| | 2 miles in the late morning. It was blazing HOT! never again. I was about to stop at the 1st mile but I went ahead and did 2. Time: 19:55 Splits: 10:33 /9:21 We're headed to SLC for the race. Good Luck to all the WBR runners!!! Have lots of fun! |
| | 2 miles in the late evening to the fire hydrant and back. Still felt like 100* out there. But it was nice to finally get a run in after 5 days of not running. We got back from Salt Lake tonight after being gone a week. Time: 18:02 |
| | 3.1 miles in the morning. Ran the La Verkin 5K loop by myself. I don't think it ever cooled down from last nights run it was still nice and warm. Time: 29:19 Splits: 9:39/9:12/10:27 the last split has the .1 mile included. | |
| | 2 miles in the late hot evening to the fire hydrant and back home. Not the best run I have done. I did worse than two days ago when I ran the same route and for not running a few days. But hey at least I got out and did something. I felt pretty heavy thanks to dinner at Sonic tonight. Time: 18:56 Splits: 9:40/9:16 | |
| |
3.1 miles in the HOT morning! Dustin pulled me out of bed at 8 loaded Jarren up in the stroller and we ran the la Verkin 5K loop. I had to hit a few sprinklers along the way because I was just sweating like a pig. Boy did they feel good!!!:O) Glad to have that out of the way. May do a few more miles tonight depending on what is going on. Time: 29:56 Splits: 10:31/9:13/9:15/:50
Did not get out for another run tonight like I wanted. Dustin and I decided to go to the late movie instead. Went to "Get Smart" pretty funny movie!

3 miles in the morning with Dustin. He took me on a new route. We drove up to the La Verkin Overlook trail. Parked the truck ran to the overlook and then back to the truck. A lot of up and down hill and running on dirt trying to avoid the pot holes. 1.5 Miles to the Overlook and then 1.5 miles back. Great workout for me. Great to have a new trail to run too. Time: 28:48 Splits: 9:43/9:46/9:19
Good news they should be starting on our pool next week! We sure do need it in this heat! 2 more miles in the late evening with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller. Jarren was really wanting to go so we decided to head out. We ran up to my parents house and back. Time: 17:27 Splits: 10:25/7:02 these might not be quite right I don't think I can run that fast but my parents do live up a very steep long hill.
| |
| | 2 miles in the morning with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller. Ran to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back home. Already HOT! at 7am. Time: 19:38 Splits: 10:10/ 9:28 Now I'm off to take Jansen to swimming lessons. |
| | 2 miles in the late evening with Dustin. Ran to the fire hydrant and back. Time: 19:39 Splits: 10:24/9:15 Dustin and I are going to be running the La Verkin City Freedom 5K in the morning. |
| Race: |
La Verkin City Freedom Run 5K (3.13 Miles) 00:26:45, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 2 | | Ran the La Verkin City Freedom Run 5K. Distance 3.13 miles Time: 26:45 Splits: 9:27/9:01/8:13 These may not be quite right since the miles were not marked I was just guessing from landmarks that I am familiar with when I run around town. Dustin had his garmin so he gave me the final distance which he said was a bit longer than a 5K which they are usually off in someway. I placed 4th over all and 2nd in the womens. Dustin placed 1st in both. Way to go Honey!!! He came running back to help me run the last little part at the end. What a nice husband I have. Prizes were for the 1st place only which was a In and Out Burger t-shirt and free meal--a runners dream! ha-ha-ha Did get a nice water bottle and pedometer for participating. Good race to support the City's celebration. Now we are headed to Pine Valley for the night.
| |
Dustin needed 2.40 miles tonight, to make it 70 for the week, so we made up a simple little route over to 300 South then up to Main Street to 200
North then back on 300 West and cut over behind the church on 400 West. Garmin hit
2.40 right when we stopped at home. Ran kind of slow since Dustin ran 18 miles already today. It was still quite warm out too. It's sure nice to have someone to run with.
Time: 24:38 Splits: 10:19/10:10/4:07 |
| |
Dustin and Jordan headed out for a week long scout camp up on Kolob Mountain this morning. I may not be able to get much running in with my babysitters gone. If I do it will have to be the boring treadmill since I can't leave. But we will have to see what happens.
|
| | I finally got out for a run. After Dustin and Jordan being gone to scout camp all week I really did not have a chance to get out. I was planning on going out last night for a run but we suddenly had a severe thunder/lightening/rain storm here so I did not want to go out in that. But tonight I ran 3.1 miles the La Verkin 5 K loop in reverse this time. I ran with Dustin while he pushed Jarren in the stroller. It was a nice run pretty humid and muggy out though. Time: 29:11 Splits: 9:39/9:02/9:39/.49 |
| | 2 miles in the mid morning to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back. Wasn't too hot but pretty muggy still. Time: 18:35 Splits: 9:42/8:52 |
| | 3.1 miles in the late very hot evening. Dustin and I ran the La Verkin 5K loop. Time: 28:22 Splits: 9:28/9:01/9:00/.51 We are headed to Colorado for a week in the morning. | |
| | I finally got a run in today. I just have not been motivated since we got back from Colorado on Tuesday. I did not run at all the week that we were in Colorado either. But anyway I ran with Dustin pushing Jarren in the stroller our normal La Verkin 5K loop that we always do. Kind of slower than normal but oh well.
Time: 31:04
Splits: 10:35/9:40/10:47 (this had the .1 mile added in to it)
|
| | 2 miles this morning with Dustin to the fire hydrant on 300 West and back. Got out late so it was pretty warm. Time: 19:18 Splits: 9:43/9:34 | |
| |
I finally got my act together and went for a run tonight with Dustin. Holy Cow, I have not ran for about 3 weeks. I'm sure I can make many excuses to why I have not been running but I won't. Anyway we ran the La Verkin 5K loop that we usually run together. Time: 31:56 Splits: 10:39/10:11/10:06/ :59 A little bit on the slow side but I was glad I was able to run the whole entire time. It really felt good to get out. My goal is to get back on pace and keep running again.

| | 2.5 miles this morning. Jogged .5 miles to the elementary school with Jarren in the stroller and Jansen jogging along the side. Then dropped Jansen off and ran with Jarren in the stroller up Center Street to Main Street then along Main Street over to 500 North to 300 West the home. I did not time my splits but my over all time was 26:57. Great to get out even though it is still HOT!
Funny thing I passed a bunch of ladies pushing jogging strollers power walking the thing I thought was funny about it was 2 of the ladies were carrying a bottle of Pepsi. Can't even go on a walk without the Pepsi is all I could think of.
| |
| | 2.5 miles the same route as yesterday morning. Jogged .5 miles with Jansen along the side and Jarren in the stroller to take Jansen to school and then 2 miles with Jarren in the stroller. Time was 26:53 about the same as yesterday. I did make one stop at the goat field. There is the big field on Main Street full of goats. Yesterday we ran past and Jarren was just going crazy but I did not stop just kept running past. Well today I had to stop because he was going crazy before we even got to the field. Dustin is going up today to run the Hobblecreek Race. Good Luck Honey! Good Luck to all the others who are running in it too! | |
| | The same route again that I have been running after dropping Jansen off at school. I probably should find another route for some variety but I like this one and I know the distance. Time without taking splits: 25:35 A bit faster than last week plus I might add I did stop at the goat field again and I did forget to stop my watch. We were not there long maybe a minute or two. Dustin did great at the Hobble Creek 1/2 Marathon he took 3rd place over all. He got a nice plaque and $50 to Runner's Corner in Orem. Way to go Honey!!;o) | |
| |
Happy Birthday Dustin! 3 miles today. 1 mile to the school and back did not get a time for that. 2 miles this evening with Dustin to the fire hydrant and back. We were going to do 3.3 miles for his birthday but he was not feeling to good. We went to dinner at his favorite place Cafe Rio and it just was not sitting well with him so we cut our run short. Time: 20:49

Some ol' route after dropping Jansen off at school. Stopped at the goat field for a minute. Almost got hit by a car 3 different times. Time: 26:14 I did take the garmen today just to make sure it really was a 2.5 route and it is. Splits: 10:58/10:13/5:00 A bit slow but I was pushing the stroller which happened to get a flat in the middle of mile 1 plus dodging the cars that don't want to stop at stop signs slowed me down some too. But over all good run. Went out with Dustin tonight and ran our La Verkin 5 K loop. Was not planning to run again but it was good to get out and run with him. Time: 30:37 Splits: 10:26/9:22/9:45/1:02
| |
| | No running today. It is my birthday and I have had to much going on my Mom and Sisters took me to brunch and the boys took me to dinner. So good reason I guess to take the day off. Don't have a reason for yesterday yet. | |
| |
Tried to go on a run this morning but the jogging stroller had another flat tire. So I got the crummy stroller out (crummy meaning not intended to run with) and walked Jansen to school and then tried to jog with this crummy stroller. Yes, that was a sight in itself to see. I am sure who ever saw me out running was laughing hysterically. So I cut my run really short and I did not keep a time because of the circumstances. But I do know that I tried to run 1.5 miles and had a good laugh for the day! I have to add one more mile. I jogged to the school and back to pick up Jansen. I also have to add this is my redneck running day because I was in flip flops this time. I just felt like I need to jog some more for some reason and so I did!
| |
2.5 miles took Jansen to school and then ran my usual 2 mile route back home. Glad to get the stroller back in working condition. Got caught in some mild rain. Jarren liked running in the rain. Time: 28:33 3.1 miles in the evening. Ran our La Verkin 5K loop with Dustin. Good run still quite hot out there. Time: 30:46 Splits: 10:15/9:43/9:51/:56 Good news at the Ence home. We found out yesterday that we got the house we put an offer on and they would
like to close by the end of the month. So we will be busy the next few
weeks, getting everything ready for closing, packing up the house and
making the move, all while Dustin is trying to get ready for the marathon. We're
pretty excited as the house is quite a bit bigger and just a year old.

| | 3 miles in the morning. I did not have to take Jansen to school today Dustin's parents did on their way out of town. So I decided to run the La Verkin 5K loop in reverse direction. I ran 2 miles stopped at my parents fed the cows and then 1 more mile back home. Good run No time. | |
| |
2.5 miles in the morning. Same route as always. Good run! Time: 27:24 3.1 miles in the evening with Dustin. Ran our La Verkin 5K route but instead of running down 300 West we ran down State Street for a change. It was good to run with Dustin again some. Time: 29:57 Splits: 10:26/9:57/9:05/:27 these may be off just a bit
| |
No run today. I was dressed and all ready to go on a run but instead I helped my dad most of the day haul and stack hay. He really needed some help. So that was a work out in itself. Those hay bales are HEAVY!!! I am not sure many people have stacked hay in running clothes. Very itchy and pokey I might add.
|
| | 3 miles in the morning. .5 miles to the school with Jansen. 2.5 miles with Jarren in the stroller. Ran 100 East over to 500 North to 300 West down to the Overlook subdivision then back to 300 West then back home. Time: 32:46 My back is a bit sore from hauling and stacking hay yesterday. But good run anyway! | |

| | 3 miles in the morning with Jarren in the stroller. Same route again. Time: 32:10 |
| Race: |
Santa Clara Swiss Days 5K (3.1 Miles) 00:25:32, Place overall: 41, Place in age division: 5 | | Fun race! Lots of people racing. I think they said 500. Fastest 5K time so far. I did not time my splits but the runner card average was 8:13min/mi. Time: 25:32
| | 2.5 miles in the morning. .5 miles with Jansen to the school. 2 miles with Jarren in the stroller. Took a different route today. Ran from my parents house past the cow field down state street up center street then home. Forgot my watch so no time on that route. My legs are still tight and sore from the race Saturday so I am pretty sure it was a slow time. |
| | 2.5 miles in the morning. Jogged .5 miles with Jansen to the school then I ran the route I usually do pushing Jarren in the stroller. Time: 27:07 Legs still pretty tight. |
| | Finally all moved into our new house, Finally got our old house all cleaned out, Finally got internet hooked up, Finally got a run in! Finally hope to get back on schedule!
Ran 2 miles with Dustin tonight! Time: 18:23 |
| | Found a new 2.5 mile route in the area of our new house. .5 miles to the school with Jansen jogging along and Jarren in the stroller. Then Jarren and I went up to 100 East down 100 South to 300 West over 300 West to 200 North to home. Time: 29:23 |

I ran up to 100 East over to 500 North to 300 West down Center to Main to 200 North and home. It felt good to get out and run some. Time:25:37
