Went to gym to run 4.5 on treadmill. Tried to really challenge myself with speed and a little incline. Not sure how ready I am for the 5k Saturday, but a good workout today regardless.

HA HA! I may be into "pre-blogging" once in awhile.  But this is taking it to the extreme! On Tues. I got ahead of myself and logged a few workouts that way without even realizing it- duh! When Thurs (tomorrow) actually comes, I'll log it in blue!

OK- its actually Thursday now (I have been in a time warp and confused my days, yes- I'm probably insane)  So far this week my workouts have been:

MON- 2 miles tough hike, 2 miles walk

TUES- 4 miles running

WED- 4.25 tempo run

THURS- (TODAY,yeah, I'm pretty sure- ha ha)  plan is to hike or run this afternoon.  I should do weights today, but don't want to be sore for race Sat, so I'll just go for some light cardio today (ended up with a 2 mi. walk w/ Hubby today)

FRI- Plan to run hard or Spin (made plans to run 6 w/ Heather Fri. am)

SAT- Run For Kids 5k

I should finish up w/ just about 25 miles this week

Good job today, (or is that tomorrow?) You are confusing us a bit with your workouts of the future!

See you Saturday!

yep, I'm a bit confused too. But good workout. I am so not ready for Saturday. But my only goal is to finish. Keep up the good work.

Whoa! I know I've been blogging in a hurry lately, but I didn't realize I was a day ahead until you girls mentioned it. Yikes! I'm must be losing it. The Thurs. post is actually Wed.'s workout!

Who do you hike with and where do you go? I'll bet you have some great places! Do you go a lot? Do your kids go with you? It sounds like lots of fun! Do I sound like a 5 year old asking all kinds of questions?

From Christi on Thu, Apr 10, 2008 at 18:02:15

Kim- I hike alone or with my hubby lately. When the kids are out of school we'll make a day of it. Usually over to Snow Canyon for day trips, but lately I've just been going to Webb Hill which is in Bloomington Hills. (No, you don't sound like a 5 yr old, I like to talk about hiking!)

From Andi on Thu, Apr 10, 2008 at 19:01:27

Could the kids handle webb hill? I have wanted to try it out, but wasn't sure about the kids doing it. We love to go to Snow Canyon with the kids too. There are some great trails there. Have you been out to red cliffs recreational area? I heard there is some trails or hiking places and maybe a cave to check out. not sure. Awesome 25 mile week.

From Christi on Thu, Apr 10, 2008 at 21:04:04

I'd only take the older kids on Webb Hill, pretty steep. Red Cliffs is great for kids, went there last year, good flat trails that go on for awhile. Didn't see a the cave, but sounds cool. Jim really wants to check out the Lava Caves at Snow Canyon one of these days...
