We decided to go w/ the shorter, tougher run today.  We ran a foremaster loop w/ 3 foremaster hill repeats.  It was great! 4.57 w/ 9:37 av. pace.  I'm pleased w/ that pace on hill repeats. Haven't done hill repeats in awhile and I love how I feel after doing hills, makes other inclines seem easy.  Tomorrow- weight class.  Friday I get to hopefully run w/ Michelle! Then Sat. long run.

My hip is bothering me.  I need to do some research.  Its like the top of my hip where it connects to my back (not thigh) Hurts when I twist or turn and sometimes when I run.  A little sore after runs. Not too bad yet, but I think its getting worse not better over the last 3-4 days. Don't know what I did to it or if its running related?

I hope I got your number, I'll check next... Maybe we can compare hip pain and figure out both of our problems! I'll call you tomorrow and we can figure out a running plan!

Hey I checked my e-amil and no number from you? I don't have a computer untill tomorrow when I get to St.Geroge because my husband took ours with for work so I'll check on things when I get there!

WOW! That is so fast for foremaster hill repeats. Be careful out there, though! Anytime I feel any kind of pain, I always run pretty easy and just put in the distance. I figure it probably doesn't hurt and it might save complications later.

The way you describe it, it sounds like maybe your obliques are involved? Maybe a little bit of inflammation at the insertion point?

From Jody on Wed, Feb 13, 2008 at 23:04:08

WOW!! Foremaster more that once, you are awesome!!! Great pace as well!!

From Christi on Wed, Feb 13, 2008 at 23:18:51

Lybi- you may be onto something w/ the obliques, I did do a tough ab workout last week...I'll watch it. Gonna take it real easy in weight class tomorrow...

Michelle- I put my office # on your blog, you can call that anytime, I always check it.

Jody- Can you join us Fri for a run? I'm also running Sat. with the "Sole Sisters", it would be fun for you guys to join us then too if you can!

From your decribtion it sound like you SI joint but I'm not sure? I get this as well. You can call me and we can talk. I'll private message my phone#

From Christi on Thu, Feb 14, 2008 at 11:45:10

Josse- thanks for the feedback! After researching SI joint a bit, I'm pretty sure this is what I have going on! Its the exact place of the pain and the twisting in bed, getting out of car, getting up after sitting long periods- etc- all seem to fit. Its not too bad, just a nagging start of something. What do you reccomend for treatment? (Sorry ,your phone # didn't come through to me email.. wonder if there's been a problem w/ the private message option, I tried sending one to Michelle yesterday and she didn't get it either...)
