Ridiculous amount of sleep last night.  I ran to bed at 9pm thinking I'd be up at 5:30 for a run.  However- running partner bailed , so I slept until the last possible minute that I would have to get up and get kids ready for school on time (9pm-7:50)  SO- I think that MUST put me back in lead.  I'm glad we are changing the stakes for loser, we decided we just didn't feel good about dragging poor Sasha into it.  We are deciding on some other personal torture like house cleaning, long run or combination!

Goal- 6 miles today.  Didn't do it yesterday, must today for my sanity.  Tomorrow spin class, Sat. long run.

Happy to report that I did it- got out there and got some miles in.  Inspired by a quote on Benn's blog (coined by our own Sasha) something like.."Just get out there and let the run happen"...Ah, I feel so much better now... 6.10, 9:36 av pace, ran for a couple minutes shy of 1 hr, need to get it up to an hour.

Glad that you got out and did it! Now I feel like I too must log something of a run today!!! I think there must be a little viral infection going on with us girls around the blog... I'm sure it has much to do with the time of year and the lovely temps. outside, does anyone know of a treatment for the sysmptoms that we are all facing? I think that I'm putting out a challenge to anyone that can give us the BEST cure to our decreased running enthusiasm and winter blahs!!! Someone else can come up with the reward and the rest of the details.... Lets just get some motivation going here!!!!

(Sorry Christi to drag you into this!)

So glad I'm not alone! I think we are feeling the tail end of winter! We were all so brave & bold the first couple months and now winter is just getting OLD! I think we need to plan some fun around our next race when we will all be together- Spectrum or Striders? Maybe besides just getting together to eat we could all go mini-golfing or race cart driving or something cheesy & fun together w/ our families? Maybe a good blog party/ get- together to anticipate would get us psyched?

I'm with you girls! Let's have some fun! When and where is Spectrum? I am planning on Strider's. Haven't signed up yet though. Have you?

Nice job today!! So glad you got out there. I think that something around either race would be great!

You did a good job of inspiring me, Christi. I finally got out because of YOU! Thanks a million. Hopefully I'll be able to return the favor if ever needed. And you are the champion sleeper of the WORLD. I think I'm going to pull a "Mitt" and through in the towel early. You win!

From Christi on Thu, Feb 07, 2008 at 23:39:36

Kim- I haven't signed up for Spectrum or Striders 1/2 yet, but I'm planning on doing both- so I better jump on it!

Lybi- I'm still bummed Mitt pulled out of the race. Ah well... WAY TO GO getting out there today!
