Nice 9-er w/ Heather & Buff today.  9:15 av. pace.  Met up early at the gym and did a loop around Green Springs.  Felt pretty good energy the whole run, took 1 gu 1/2 way, but the non-caffeine kind. Started to feel the hip right at the end of the run, so 9 was probably good for today.  Will try a bit longer next weekend, like maybe 11 or 12.  Felt good about mileage this week and getting out 5 days, I usually only get out 4 it seems... Need to run some downhill in the next couple weeks to get ready for Spectrum 10k- my quads are feeling weak lately on downhill, slow... Another goal is I'd like my av. pace to be faster, like closer to 9 mi., instead of 9:15, but I guess that will just come with more mileage.

Off to spend the Sat. w/ my sweetheart (finally celebrate Valentine's)

Have a great weekend bloggies!!

Good job Christi! When is the Spectrum 10K? Also, where is that one? I'm excited to see how you end up doing on that!

Have fun with your sweetheart! Valentine's is a great holiday to extend beyond just one day!

Yea for 5 a week!!!! Nine miles today with a sore hip this week - great job gauging your body's ability without pushing it too much!!!!!

Cute new pic!! Sounds like there's a story behind it ...

ADORABLE picture! Great job today. 9 miles at 9:15 pace--that seems stinking fast to me for a longish training run. Do you get sore running like this? I think I get a build-up of lactic acid just READING about it. Hope you had a great time with the hubby!

I just saw your post on Michelle's blog about running together. Sorry I missed it. Would you like to try to get together and run together on Monday? I need to go early around 6:00 am. My cell is (801) 699-0671. Let me know.

Christi, sorry to stand you up two days in a row! What is your e-mail, the private messages don't seem to work?

From Christi on Sun, Feb 17, 2008 at 23:18:46

Thanks gals! Sarah & Adrianne- I had a very nice (late) Valentine's celebration w/ Jim with a little hike and lunch out on Sat.

Kim- Spectrum 10k is March 15th. Beautiful downhill course through Snow Canyon, you & Tom should come run it!

Laura & Lybi- yeah the picture is from FHE. Jim was out of town for a few days, and when he came back we decided to do a little skit for him. The kids made the costumes and the blue construction paper "liahona". It was a crack up (not to be irreverant...)

Jody- I'm still trying to decide if I'm sleeping in Mon. morning or not 'cause the kids don't have school, I'll call you!

Michelle- I put my email address on your blog. I hope you had fun in SG and no worries and about not running!!
