I feel so good that I ran today! I feel a bit more inspired now.  I have Bryce 1/2 in less than 2 weeks.  I'm NOWHERE near ready, but I decided I'll treat it as a scenic training run.  The under 1:50 is most likely NOT going to happen, and that's OK.  I've been going through a period of adjustment with the new job and I feel that things are getting better week by week.  This week I've worked out 2x and looks like I'll get in another 2x before the week's over. That's a foundation I can build from... just need to work in more & more workouts every week and extend the miles.

Good job Christi! You are smart to take the 1/2 and enjoy it instead of trying to do something you don't feel ready for. It sounds like it would be a very nice scenic training run. Hope it goes well for you!

Great attitude! I need some of that in my life. You do a great job of prioritizing and taking care of yourself.

Christi, you are doing great. It is hard for me to keep the running consistent when I have a big change in my life. You are doing great by still getting out there and doing the half.

From Lybi on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 15:25:08

Good job, Christi! Good plan. You are brave to tackle Brice--you are my hero! I'm happy to see your foot isn't completely halting your training. I was worried for you for a while. Be careful!

Fast Running chicka, your right, it is a great scenic run, good luck at the race. (last year, I seen a large bald eagle flying over head during the run down)
