Running Accomplishments:

I began running for my first time about 3 years ago. I remember calling everyone I knew the first time a ran 2 miles w/out stopping. I ran Mesa Falls half marathon @ 2:21 in fall 2009. I ran Salt Lake half marathon spring 2010 @ 1:54. Then I ran Missoula, MT full marathon summer 2010 @ 4:25. I was injured (IT Band) for Portland marathon (fall 2010) but went and picked up my packet anyway. Ran Ogden 4:26....

Short-Term Running Goals:

Over the next two years, I would like to improve my strenghth and speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I WILL qualify and run Boston before I turn 40. I just turned 36 this year ~ 

Personal:

In May, 2013, I will have been married to my love, Rex, for 16years. And it just keeps getting better and better! Two beautiful daughters. Emma (8) and Ali (5). This is my ninth year teaching and I love that I get paid to do it! Running gives me energy, sanity and is simple joy for me.

Great 8 miles with Alana (freeman twice) then down to Panchari & back. THEN we went and snagged the girls and took them for their first official training run! Emma ran 1.75 miles today - not sure on pace, but she was strong. would take brief walk/water breaks then go again! We topped off our girl time together with soy steamers at Bella Coffee ~ I had the soy Chai :) What a great way to begin the two week tapper!

Ran with all the ladies! So grateful for Shelley, Alana, Lindsi and Alisa! What an amazing training season it has been. Was really tired from head to toe this morning. Didn't want to run with the group - but glad I did. If I had gone on my own could have been a ten minute mile average...really. YET, I met up with everyone and ran at an 8:41 average pace. Gary joined us for the first few miles - then was able to take off. That was nice too, really looking forward to being sub-four hours next week! I feel ready - getting a massage this late afternoon...that should be good as well!
