Wanted to get in some decent miles to start, but I was feeling tired after 10k (fighting a bit of a cold as is my family) so I just kicked it back realizing I wanted to run about 3 hours, so I figured 23 would do (prior to the run I was going to do 24 but thought I better cut it a bit shorter).  I hate headwinds, I know it is partly just a mental thing.

 1) 6:50 (don't know why I started so fast up the very steep hill out of my street); 2) 6:34; 3) 6:41; 4) 6:47 5) 6:50; 6) 6:55; 7) 7:13 from here I diverted off of 1300 W. down to the JRP; 8) 7:40; 9) 7:38; 10) 7:33; 11) 8:04; 12) 7:29; 13) 7:50; 14) 7:47; 15) 7:41; 16) 8:12 up Winchester back to 1300 W.; 17) 7:52 major headwind from hear all the way home; 18) 7:59; 19) 8:29; 20) 8:59 uphill and extra-terrible headwind; 21) 7:57; 22) 8:39 including drink; 23) 7:08 finally decided to kick it in gear after slow first 1/3 of this mile.   2:54:58  avg 7:36, avg HR 151.

Now I need to cook dinner.

Sorry to hear that you are fighting off a cold! I'm sure that healthy dinner will boost your immune system some! :)

Take care.

Killer run. How can you be fighting a cold and still run that type of pace for that long??? Wicked fast!!!

Hey Smooth ... maybe we should try this recipe before SGM??? What do you think??? NOT!!!

I better hide that dinner option from my husband he would love it! I wonder how many miles you would have to run just to burn off a bite of that!

Great run. Are you running TOU or are you actually going to have a real taper going into SGM?

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Sep 14, 2009 at 11:44:31 from 67.42.27.114

Andy, no TOU for me this year. I don't quite know exactly how I will taper is, but hopefully will stay healthy now.

O.M.G. Paul....I just gained 5 pounds just looking at the pictures!!!

From Matt on Mon, Sep 14, 2009 at 14:09:57 from 65.121.71.253

I won't look for you at TOU I think you are smart to skip it all things considered. If I wasn't obligated to my wife I might have tried to back out. I feel alot better about you SG sub 3 chances then mine. I keep think I am going to come up a about 50 seconds short, but I am thinking weather and injury and other things considered your going to hit 2:56. Get some rest, ice up, and do a good taper

Love the burger. Slightly pink mmmmmmmmm 18 more days and I am going to get one. I had to check out Allie's http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ web site it is pretty sweet.
