Ran the Riverton 1/2 route (how could I resist as it runs through my ward) and a little more.   I finally got outside in the elements and it was great meeting so many in the running group.  As the group spread out a bit I settled in with Cal, Julie and Teena.  They were very good company.  For those who care, my Garmin reported 8:28 average pace which made it a nice social event.  I suppose it would have been nice if I had run with a thermos of hot chocolate, but being the novice outside runner I wasn't that prepared.

It was great to finally meet you ... was really starting to wonder which one of the pics you were posting you closest resembled. Richard Simmons?

Yes, next time bring a thermos of hot chocolate, and please make sure there are plenty of mini-marshmellows as well. You are planning on sharing, right?

Great running with you. Now go and enjoy your Ninja shows!! :)

So do you have a little blog running group from the Riverton/Herriman area now?

From Jon on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 13:34:21

I can't say I've ever seen someone run with hot chocolate...

James, the group calls itself the BBKs (for Bingham Butt Kickers), but being loyal to Riverton I refuse to fully adopt the name.

Great running today Paul. You guys were awesome.

Running with hot chocolate sound dangerous, maybe warm chocolate. I bet it was good to get outside and off that treadmill. It is nice when you can average under 8:30 for 13.1 and call it a social event. Your cardio level is obviously still great.
