On Saturday I felt great coming down from elevation and did some fast mile repeats without even feeling tired.  I was inside though.  This morning I went out for a slow run thinking I would feel like I did Saturday, but I didn't account for the heat.  It's amazing how one week of being in cool weather made me lose my heat adaptation.  That was a tough run today.

11 miles, very slow.

Got back inside for an easy 8. Not sure what my running plan for the 4th tomorrow is.

I slept in until 7:00 and by then it was already about 100 degrees outside, so I relaxed around the house with the family for a while and watched the Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest while doing my core work.  That is both fascinating and disgusting at the same time. How do those guys ingest that much food? Amazing!

After that I did a TM run nice and easy.

7 miles at 8:30, then 7 more at 7:30.

The rest of the day was spent swimming, eating, blowing up fire works, and watching fire works.  It was a nice midweek holiday.
