I was very good last week and didn't run once so I could recover from UVM. I did however cross train like crazy last week to maintain fitness. This morning I decided to head out and do some trail running. It turned into trail running, hiking, walking, and rock climbing and it was so much fun. The first 2 miles I mostly ran and was able to do them in about 20 minutes. Then the adventure began. At one point I had to climb some rocks, but after making it to the top of the little mountain, I was glad to have made the climb. It was beautiful up there. I headed back down a different way and got lost for a bit, but finally made it back to my car. The last 2.5 miles took 45 minutes. Total "run" 4.5 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes. |
