My legs are still feeling pretty dead. I meant to go easy this morning, but it was so cold I had to speed up a little just to keep from freezing. I decided to make it a short run instead of a slow one. I hope a couple days off will put some spring back in my step for the turkey trot.

It's a 5k this Sunday. Last year I ran my first sub 20 and won a huge turkey. I'm hoping for similar results this time :)

I'm not too sure about that turkey trot now. About lunchtime my little toenail started hurting so bad I had to leave work and see a doc., it's been bruised for a while, but wasn't hurting bad until now. The doc took one look and said it has to go. He gave me the option of removing it and letting it grow back or having it permanently removed. So, now I only have 9 toenails to worry about. He said it wouldn't "hurt" anything if I run on it sunday, but it will probably hurt enough to slow me down quite a bit. We'll see....

I hope for on my next 5k to be sub 25..that would be pretty sweet.

I hope you can still run it! Glad you got rid of one toenail! they can be a pain!

Yikes, that sounds awful! Maybe it's best to miss the race - it's gonna be COLD.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Nov 19, 2010 at 18:19:15 from 76.121.76.165

Thanks. I really want to run it, but I'll have to wait and see how it feels on Sunday. Even if I don't run I'll bring a couple cans of food to donate(the club is collecting for a local food bank) and hang around to cheer for my friend Paul. He just recently started running and this will be his first race.
