This wasn't the confidence builder I was hoping for. I ran my normal 10 mile route at home and my pace was ok, but mentally it felt like a 20 miler. I'm still pretty run down from the last day of my motorcycle trip, we rode through high winds and rain for about 700 miles and it took a lot out of me. Hopefully I'll be back to normal after a couple days rest.

No worries, we all have those days. I think your times are still great, especially for being run down. Do you have something big coming up? I can not keep track anymore!

Eugene on Sunday :)

Is that a full marathon??

From allie on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 13:32:18 from 67.177.0.102

are you going to taper?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 14:04:40 from 72.102.31.140

Kelli - Yes! BQ or bust!

Allie - Well, sort of I guess. I skipped my long run last week in favor of a couple high elevation and hilly 10 milers, but still logged 50 miles. This week I've only done 2 10's and will probably just chill out for the next two days. What are you doing tomorrow and Saturday?

From Kelli on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 18:37:58 from 71.219.75.178

I am really out of the loop here, I thought you had another month or so. What was I thinking??? BEST of luck, you will do awesome, that I am sure of. BQ and I will mail you some more cookies! I made some last night and, as usual, got sick eating all the dough!

From april27 on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 19:11:16 from 99.188.251.180

You are doing great!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 20:05:36 from 75.230.5.167

Kelli - Cookies?! Now I have some serious incentive. I'm sad that I couldn't meet you and Scott in Boston this year to collect those cookies. I did watch all your splits on the boston website though. It was really cool seeing both of your times coming up together at each checkpoint.

April - Thanks. I really appreciate all the encouragement I get here. I just wish I had time to spend all day at work on the blog like Burt so I could give back some of that love ;-)

From KP on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 20:57:01 from 198.200.158.140

Good luck!!! You'll totally get your BQ! You've been running some really impressive times in training.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Thu, Apr 29, 2010 at 21:31:24 from 75.230.5.167

Thanks KP. I'm ready, but a lot can happen in 26.2 miles. I'm trying not to count my chickens just yet.

From baldnspicy on Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 00:37:11 from 72.77.121.216

You'll rock it, Mike! Stay positive...you've got the whole FRB community behind you!

From Kelli on Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 13:52:54 from 71.219.75.178

No worries, we will be there again next year!!! You will be there next year, right???

Thanks for tracking us, the Boston tracking system is pretty cool!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 15:50:57 from 76.121.76.165

Wes - I'm gonna do this thing! With support like that how could I fail?

Kelli - I plan to be there and I'm really anxious to meet you guys. You have been a great encourager for me. Maybe you can take some more time next year. We are going to make it a family vacation and spend a week or two there after the race. Everyone is so excited, now I just have to do my part...

From Kelli on Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 19:17:53 from 71.219.75.178

You will do it!

For a minute there I thought you were telling me to run it slower next year! We were actually there for 6 days, so we got to see some of the sites, but not all. So, sadly, we must go back!

I am not sure what you are planning on as far as hotels, but they jack the prices WAY UP from Saturday to Tuesday for the hotels right in Boston. If you go through MarathonTours.com (and right away) you can get the hotels for about half of what they will charge you. However, if you are willing to stay a little ways out, you can get better deals. Just thought I would let you know, I am mailing my deposit on Monday (yes, a year out!) The hotel we stayed out was like 2 blocks from where we finally came out of the finish line, it was perfect.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Apr 30, 2010 at 20:09:31 from 76.121.76.165

We'll probably just stay one or two nights in Boston. After that Kym has big plans of touring New York, DC, etc. What hotel did you stay at?
