Yesterday I did a 1 minute on, 1 minute off run for 40 minutes. My minute on was at a 6:40 pace---you do that for a mile (with lots of other super fast miles to go with it). CRAZINESS!!!!!

From rattletrap on Thu, Jan 07, 2010 at 09:39:13 from 24.19.93.139

I did put in a solid effort today but, that pace seems so much easier now than it did last spring. Sometimes I wonder if my watch is malfunctioning when I see those splits.

That pace will never be easy for me!! The 1 minute on's were supposed to be at the pace I can run a mile. 6:40 was the pace everyone was telling me I SHOULD be able to run a mile, but I can tell you that is not possible!

You are fast. Seriously, I am so impressed with your running. That injury may have forced you to take some time off and messed up your plans a little, but it did not slow you down! This is your year!!!

From rattletrap on Thu, Jan 07, 2010 at 09:50:41 from 24.19.93.139

Thanks Kelli - that means a lot coming from someone faster than me. You can see my marathon PR over there to the left :)

We'll see how fast I really am in June when it counts. Until then I'll be working on scratching out last year's Resolution Run PRs. That 20k is going to be a tough one.

BUT had you not gotten injured, that marathon PR would have been blasted out of the water and killed mine! The only PR I have you on is the marathon, darn your injury!

I am excited to see how your races go this year. When is the marathon going to be?

Why are you on the Lone Faithful list? Well, I guess this is just a pity comment.
