I ran out past the old barn and headed towards Payson and extended out to my 2 mile mark, I took a short walking break and then headed back to the house. Foot was just a little of a bother this morning which is a good sign, Its still not 100% but it feels like its getting better. My back on the other hand was not so good, I had some moments in the run that my right leg felt like it was going to collapse on me, but I was able to get through the run. Its Hell to get old! I finished up with my upper body weight training and then some push-ups, the plan for this week is to run 4 miles a day and see how I do, I long to be Pain free!

See you tomorrow.

I went to the PT this morning and he wanted to film me running but after a mile he could tell my back was affecting my stride so he decided to work on my back and wait a week before he films me. After that I went to work and then after work I jumped on the elliptical for 40 minutes, 10 minute warm up and then I did the fast track that works its way up to a 7 resistance and  back for 20 minutes and then I cooled down for another 10 minutes. I finished up with my lower body weight training, now its time to eat and relax.

See ya tomorrow.

My back was feeling pretty good this morning and I was finally able to lengthen my stride, it felt good. My foot was marginal but okay, I felt really good for most of my run but then with about 3 tenths of a mile to go I got a major charlie horse in my right calf, I tried to stretch it out but there was no doing that so I  had to walk the last little bit home. I hope this doesn't keep me out now that would cause me great distress, it really hurts right now!!! My average pace before I had to stop was 8:47 total time 32:12 with my HR average at 153... After the run I did my standard upper body strength training and then some push-ups.

See ya tomorrow.

No running today as my calf strain is in full swing! OUCH! I consider myself a work in progress, kind of like a priceless painting that takes years to complete:)  Sometimes I wonder if I will ever reach my goals or will I just some day fade into the sunset and never be heard of again, very frustrating... 10 steps forward and then 15 steps back, in other words I feel like I'm losing ground not gaining! Oh well, I'll just keep pushing forward and hoping for the best, my foot and back seem to be improving so I guess thats a good thing, thier not 100% by any means but they are difinitely improving.

See you tomorrow.

Still no running this morning, I might try the elliptical a little latter today but that will depend on how my calf is doing. It seems to be improving but I don't want to make it worse and then be out of commision for longer than just a few days. I will see what tomorrow brings and then go from there.

See ya later.
