I felt really good this mourning, I ran a tempo run of 5 miles and almost broke the 40 minute mark which is really flying for me. Time 40:37, my time on the in ward half was a bit faster than the outward half.

I didn't run yesterday because of the down pour and I had a slight thigh pull which was feeling better today. The day off seemed to help it and I don't feel that I have re-injured it by pushing with todays run. I am still trying to get over this head cold I have had for that last 2 and half weeks, I have developed a cough over the last week which is a concern, it is more up in my throat than my chest which is the reason I am still running and feeling pretty good.

Having a cold, an injury, and running only hard miles is not a good combination. You should probably jog 5 miles a day at a comfortable pace until both problems are gone. After that, make sure to warm up before and cool down after when you are running hard.

Good point, its just that when I feel strong I tend to push it. I did back down on a couple of 400's but I do see your point. I hate this cold, I can not seem to get rid of it, It has been very frustrating.
