The riverwoods 10 miler this morning and on the way up on the bus we were able to see some of the UVM leaders. Sasha seemed to be doing well and I noticed Josse was doing good was well, I hope they all finished well... I arrived at the buses at 6:00am and then went and picked up my bib and then waited for my brother to show up, after that we jumped on a bus and headed to the start. It was a little nippy but not bad and we were lucky to beat the rain which made it even nicer. I was able to talk to Mac at the start, she did really well taking 2nd over all, she blew by my me and I just smiled and waved;-)

Here are my splits; 6:49,7:06, 7:04, 7:15, 7:18, 7:15, 7:07, 7:15, 7:23 really starting to lose it here, and then 7:24 just trying to hang on. I was kind of disappointed with those last 2 miles I could have pushed it harder but I chose to be lazy, I was getting pretty tired though so I just kind of took it easy. I feel pretty good about the effort minus those last two miles I need to work on getting my base mileage up a little and then maybe I will be stronger towards the end for the next one. I probably started out a little to fast but all I could here was Brent in my ear telling me to let it all hang out, so I did!!! I did have a PR, but not by alot maybe a few seconds. If I could have pushed those last two miles a little better I might have had a minute PR, I'm such an idiot!

My brother Curtis took 1st in his age division which was pretty cool, he is coming right along I need to step it up just a bit!

I finished up when I returned home with 20 minutes on the elliptical and some push-up.

See ya Monday.

Nice job on a PR. It's hard to motivate yourself to push it to shave off seconds at the end.

Rambo, 300 commando points for the PR, sometimes, you just need to do something crazy, way to hang it out there, you had the guts today.

Great job Clay. I knew that you would tear it up. You have been training hard and it is now starting to pay off.
