Here's my first run in about 3 months. Came out to California to visit Callie, my daughter. She is training for the Revel Mt. Charlston Marathon in 3 weeks. I wanted to run with her, even though I haven't run at all in 3 months. I decided to do 2 miles with her and then as we ran changed my mind and went ahead and ran 5. I was surprised I made it 2 miles much less 5 miles. Not sure yet how much I will be running in the near future but will be going on an RV vacation with Callie, her husband Matt, Kirby, our son and his girlfriend and obviously Sarah, my wife in 6 weeks. I would like to be able to run some more with Callie during that vacation but know I need to run some before then to make it fun and not kill me. Callie is trying to qualify for Boston so we can run it in 2018 together. I qualified at the San Antonio R&R back in December. Looking forward to that if it happens!

My heart rate was UGLY hight on this run.

Back home from California and 2nd run since my last foot operation. This one seemed hard but I was on my hilly course as opposed to the mostly flat in California. I've got a ways to go again to regain my cardio, my legs still feel like running.

So I doubled my mileage from last week to this week!!! 5 miles to 10 miles!!! :-)

Also I tried and ran quite a bit faster. Far from where I want to be but a little step and progress. Planning to get up to 25-30 miles in the next couple of weeks.

Meanwhile our cat cornered a rattlesnake on our front pourch last evening. I took care of it with a hoe!

We went to Gatesville to visit my mom for easter. Went to Biker Church. :-)

Increased my mileage to 6 miles on this run but ran the same pace as my last 5 mile run with a little less effort. Ran the hilly Ft Hood route. Hoping to get about 20 miles this week.

Tried to run a couple of these miles a little faster. Couldn't do much of this but at least I got close to a 6 on the second fast mile.
