14 Mile run. First 7 were straight north into the 20-25 mph wind. Then turned around and ran back. It was cold too! Last 7 were 2 minutes faster than the first although I wasn't trying to run fast. 8:25 AP.

I've still not been feeling very good. Hopefully this crud will go away soon.

Cold and drizzly morning so I went to the gym for 7 easy miles on the TM and a little upper body workout. I'm still not feeling very good.

It was raining this morning so I didn't go out to run. Went to the gym at lunch for the second time and ran 8 miles with the first 4 Avg 8:30 and the Last 4 Avg 7:40. The last two were 7:30 (the fastest the TM's will run).

As soon as I stepped off the TM the owner of the gym can over and told me not to run on the TM's more than 40 minutes in case some other customers want to use them. There are four TM's and no one was using them except me. I really need to find another gym!

Finally starting to feel better. :-)

Off to Canada tomorrow on a business trip for three days. Not looking forward to this trip.

Made it to my hotel and had an hour and a half to waste so I went to the gym and ran 5 on the TM @ 9:00 Pace.

Still in Canada. Went to a "real" gym across from the hotel. They probably had 20 treadmills. All were being used when I got there so I had to wait a few minutes. I ran 10 miles at varying paces but averaged 8:35 for the entire run.

Traveling home Friday so no run then.

Another Long Run that went well! This is the same run I did twice in January. Results then were (7:41 Pace @ 149 HR and 7:43 Pace @ 152 HR). I feel I have made good progress in these long runs.

I think I'm getting close to being able to run a 3:16 marathon but still a long way off from a 3:10.

I am tired of being sick. I went to the doctor last friday and got a z-pac. I'm hoping it knocks out whatever I have.

Easy/Recovery run today. My legs were pretty heavy after my 16 miler yesterday. It's amazing how quickly my fitness goes away. Just a few days of reduced effort running and I can really feel it. (I think it's an age thing :-(

These 9:00 miles are brutal on my legs. They feel like lead weights by the time I run 5-6 miles. I really hate running like this but it does keep my HR really low.

Much better today! Finally I felt like I could breath. I still have a rattling in my chest but I didn't bother me too much.

Today's schedule called for 10 easy miles, 6 in the morning and 4 in the evening. I can't run this evening (roping practice) so I had to do all 10 this morning.

I felt very comfortable running this pace. I figure my recovery HR at 137 so this run was just slightly above that. It's funny that not too long ago my HR would have run 10-12 beats per minute faster for the same run.

I hope I'm back...I think I'm back!
