| Am - Ran Mustang Pass with Alex and my dad and the dog. That's the trail I worked on for a school project, and this was the first time I'd ran it since doing most the work. Wow, it was legit. So fun to just run it and not have to wade through tumbleweeds or anything. I need to do a few things, mainly work on the climb up to the pass. Feeling really grate full to live where I can run 7 different trails the past 2 weeks all 15 minutes or less from my house. Plus 20 more I could've run.

| Am - Ran Barrel Roll trail today, with my dad, Alex, and Julien. And Sally the dog. It was pretty good, I felt a bit tired after some hardish trail runs this week. Next week starts some training for track. Man, I sure ain't ready for it. I wish I could never go to school again and run trails for days.

| Am - ran part of Mustang pass with some teammates. Everybody but me, Alex and Julien turned around before the pass, we were gonna do they full loop. Then we got to the pass a just started working on the trail up through there. After that we were tired so we just cruised back to the park. About 4 miles, it was baller, almost rainy.

| Pm - Nice 6 miles in semi-rainy weather. The team was back running together today, we ran down Telegraph Street 3 miles to a trailer park, then back to school. Although I've thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful seclusion of running alone or with my fam the last two weeks, I also quite enjoyed being back with my bros and their hilarious stupidity. What a baller day back to school.

Lifted weights after. Upper hamstring that bugged me a lot of XC is tight, gotta get that worked on.

| Pm - 15 minutes warm up, then did a vVo2 max test aka 6 minute test. I got out good, not quite as fast as a race. Just kinda cruised through it really, steadily pushing more and more. I finished with 1960 meters. It was solid, it was maybe like a 95% effort, I just wasn't really inspired to go ham the last lap. I guess my mind isn't really in race mode yet. It felt spoice to run fast, it's been a while. Cooled to 6.3 miles.
SUU is having me visit this Saturday so that's dope! That's honestly looking like a pretty good option for college.

| Am - Me, Alex, and Julien met with Andrew, and we ran Mustang Pass. It was really nice, maybe a bit cold cause it was pretty early about 8. Pine Valley mtn looked awesome, it has a ton of snow and this morning looked totally blanketed in white. Did 5.5 miles.
Went on a visit to SUU. Adam Jensen was there and his teammate Jamison. Also Pearson from stansbury, I raced him a state. It was very good.

| Pm - Did 30/30 workout today. Ran 10 minutes warm up. It was 30 seconds running a certain length, 163m, based on our vVO2 max test last week. Then 30 seconds rest. Did 30 killer reps. I actually felt pretty good, it wasn't too hard. Then I got some gnarly gas built up in my stomach about 15 reps, I even had to stop for a sec. Other than that it was supreme. All my teammates were up running with me so that made it way more dope. Cooled down to 7.2M.
Lifted weights.

| Pm - Ran a nice easy 5.7 miles on church rocks loop. Not to hard it was just baller. Except my periformus, I think that what my mom called it, was pretty tight. It bugged me all cross season, wow it's so annoying. So I got home and went hard with my lacrosse ball getting up in there.

| Pm - tempo day. Warmed up 2 miles, then 15 tempo on the track. It was pretty chill just like a base building tempo. First mile was about 5:55, second was about 5:50, then the last 2 1/2 laps were about 5:30 pace. I felt nice a relaxed the whole time, my legs were a bit tired like theyve been the whole week. Cooled down 2 miles.
Lifted weights after. Stayed away from squats and deadlifts, I wanna get my leg feeling better.

Today was just super dope. Hot Chocolate Friday with Mrs Burkett at desert hills was dope we just chatted for an hour while drinking cocoa and lounging on exercise balls.

Found a cool spot with a bunch of silver chollas, wow they are such swag cacti. Slower pace, but mostly sandy and hilly terrain. Fun run today.

| Am - Drove over to Hurricane Rim Trail and ran it with my team. I was a bit dissapointed cause we were gonna do Jem Trail, but Hurricane rim is also way dope. Weather was a bit windy but mostly it was a really nice run. A few guys were flying up the hills wow, I was beat by the end. It was such a fine way to start Alex Day.

| Pm - 30/30 workout today. Weather was cloudy and felt really cold. Did 10 minutes of warm up then began the deed. Last week, I was getting around 160-165 meters per rep, this time more around 165-170. My fitness seems to be getting better, it wasn't too hard of a run. I really felt smooth and fast and I focused on my knee drive which helped it go by quick. Finished with 30 reps and cooled down 10 minutes, total of 7.3 miles.
Also got in the weight room and lifted. Did light weight on the squats, slowly building up more strength in my piriformis.

| Pm - Did some warm up yoga then 4 miles into Green Springs. Really good run, played the take off your shirt game. We haven't won in a while cuz Corbin will never take his shirt off. When we got back, there was a 2016 Corvette Stingray in the parking lot and me alex and Jake checked it out and admired it for a bit. It was rad as it gets.

| Pm - Dope shorts day! I wore my jubilee shorts.
Warmed up 15 minutes then tempo on the track. Our workouts still aren't much right now so it was 15 minutes, 6:04 down to 5:40 pace. It was nice and relaxing, pretty fun running. Except for my whole left leg, especially my hamstring was on fire. Cooled down 15 minutes. And on our cool down loop near Harts, this idiot nearly runs our freshmen in the front over. We all began yelling at him then coach holt led a chase right to his car. After an exchange of words and fingers, all was good.
Lifted weights it was alright

| Am - Awesome run up Mill Creek Wash with Alex this morning! It goes right past my house, but we drove up as far as we could and dropped in there. It's got a lot of big rocks like from 1 foot to 5 feet so it's really technical and its just super rad running. We got up pretty far up; into the start of the canyon in the red rocks. Super cool up there the sandstone looks amazing in some places. Coming back was a bit quicker and legit. Got a little over 8 miles up and back.

| Pm - 60/60 workout today. Same as 30/30 but 30 seconds more hard and rest of course. Had a nice crew of Paul, Dallen, Mitch, Carson, and Preston with me, it was fun. I relatively easily (for a workout) pounded out 15 reps, and even without my hair I felt pretty solid. Warmed and cooled 10 minutes so overall got 7 miles. Lifted after.
Most of today was rough, beginning life with a clean cut hair do. But when I got to practice with all my bros doing running I felt happy, they are dope friends.

Pm - 6 miles on Mustang Pass Trail. Drove up there with the team and ran it for practice. The trails seems to be getting a good amount of traffic. Very nice run with some fun talk about politics.

| Pm - 6.8 miles, 20 minute tempo on the track.
Decker the great PV alumni showed up, I guess he'll be helping coach a bit so that's awesome. Did 2 miles warm up then got into the tempo. First mile in like 6:05, I think the next was about 5:52, 3rd was around 5:40, then last 1 3/4 laps I just gave it a good push to around 5:20 pace. It was alright, I wish my legs could feel fresh on a tempo, they kinda felt trashed. Cooled down on our 10 minute loop.
We were scheduled to lift after, but coach had to leave. So me, Paul, and Preston led everybody in some killer ab stuff.

| Pm - Long run today. We headed out to shnobe Kobe and looped around it then through Washington. It was great and super fun. Back at the high school we were doing a mile of barefoot striders on the track, when some 5-6 grade idiots were cussing at us hard. So Julien went and grabbed one kids head and slammed him to the ground. It was hardcore.

I headed up through my neighborhood and ran on Cottontail Trail, then looped around on Middleton Powerline, dropped into a wash back to the roads and back to my house. Really nice run, I really enjoy Cottontail with all the big Silver Chollas. Avg pace 7:27 it was fun.
