Inspiring me to get off my lazy but again..I dont want to train too hard though...see if you can crush me at Mid Mountain and restore the normal order of things. Nice run up around Pine View the other day...you going to tell me how to get pics up since no other instructions have worked so far. nice miles.

FALL is good!!! I am ready for the heat to be gone!

Nice job on the run!!!

Hey, where is the Mid Mountain 26.2? I am wondering if that is the race my brother is doing. I will have to ask him.

Mid-Mountain starts in DeerValley ends in ParkCity...all on single track or so I hear...

The one they are doing is in August, I guess. It will be my brother's first race ever----a trail marathon. He is as nuts as his wife. ;o)

How many runners?? Single track is just HARD when it comes to passing, if not impossible. Especially when people do not want to let you by.

Kelli.. Mid Mountain is Sept 10th.. Same day as the WASATCH 100!! Which you should do BTW. I think they cap the race at 250 runners...

I am actually going to help my brother crew my sister in law for Wasatch 100. They do not want any pacing help from me (I think she wold beat me even if I was at mile 2 and she was at 77---I can not do that technical stuff with any confidence). So, I get to drive. ;o)

I think I need to just get out there more and try the trails. You guys may think I am joking, but I truly do have a serious (and yes, irrational) fear of wildlife. I did notice that once we got going, I stopped thinking about it. I only worried when I heard things in the bushes at the end and when we saw the mama and baby moose---a bad scenario! They were a ways off but we were stopped and looking at maps cause we were off course and I was sure they were going to catch up! OH, and I had a small panic attack when there was a sign that said, "Bear Country."

AND then, of course, there is my fear of falling and getting hurt. Falling on my first real trail run ever was not a confidence boost.
