Buffal Run 2013! in the books. Man what a cold windy race. I had three goals going into this race. 1. Beat last years time 2. Run all the ups 3. Try and keep Gdocs humility in check. I accomplished 2 out of the 3, so all in all a very good time out on the island.

The start was very COLD and WINDY. Decided to try and find a rhythm up the grinder (first three miles) so, wasn't pushing the pace to much. Hit the top and was sweating like a madman - pulled off the hat and wind jacket here. Got into a good pace heading into the climb up lone tree - this was the first real test to accomplish goal 2 so, put the head down and ran the entire section up to the aid station, passed about 15 or so hiking up the climb, felt good! First time I've done that in all my trips to the island.. rolled down the west side and Climb challenge #2 came.. Made it all the way up the west side - felt great breathing was easy and relaxed - NO HORSEs this year - Perfect! Put the tunes on just past the Aid about 5 miles left at this point - tried turning it up a notch to catch Gdoc, but never saw that named man, a known man, they say. So, his Pride lives on! Beat my time from last year by a couple minutes and ran all those blasted climbs. Ya Baby!!

Nice job running up all of the climbs. Yeah, that cold and wind was horrible! Way to get it done.
