Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

7 treadmill miles. It was a necessary evil. I didn't wake up to my alarm this morning. Had to utilize the gym daycare. I switched it up by running 3 minutes at a slow pace (6.5 mph), 2 minutes at a moderate pace (7.5), and 1 minute at a faster pace (8.5). Then moved to 2 minutes at each speed and then 3 minutes at a fast pace, 2 at a moderate, and 1 at a slow. It broke up the monotony of treadmill running.

The plan was to do 6-8 1/2 mile repeats fast with 3 minute recovery between each one. The universe had different plans. Squeeky treadmills, a humid gym, inconsiderate people moving my fan, and my ipod pooping out made for a frustrating workout! Nevertheless, I got 7 1/2 mile repeats done. Here are the times 3:30, 3:27, 3:25, 3:23, 3:20, 3:18, 3:15. I feel like I could have done more if I had the time but I wasted so much time dealing with broken treadmills and faulty fans that the daycare was going to close so I had to go. Boo to stressful workouts!
