Dr. Google and I have concluded that I have shin splints. And it hurts. I don't know if its the weight gain with pregnancy? Cuz I certainly haven't increased my mileage or done speed work in the last 7 months. Here's why I think its shin splints: more pain in the morning (it seems to "warm up" as the day goes on), its more of a generalized area than a localized point, I get bad cramps at night in my calves and I'm pretty sure this has tightened them up quite a bit. Sooooo...I'm not running for a few days, stretching, icing, and rolling.....Lets hope I'm right. Elliptical and stair stepper today. 20 mins on each. That's about all my brain could handle. |
