| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. My wife, Margaret, and I have 6 children and at the present time 6 grandchildren. Running helps to keep me level. I love it and hope to continue to run for many years to come. Favorite Blogs: |

| 1:01:03 with 10:08 pace. 10:02, 10:12, 10:43, 10:54, 9:39, and 9:18 with 16 sec. tried staying around 10 for first 2 miles and hoping to make it up at the end . Much of mile 1 and 2 are up and all of miles 3 and 4 are up. Next time I will go back to fast for mile 1 and then hold back a little on mile 2 then try to maintain for 3 and 4. I always go as fast as I can the last two miles. |
