Was worried about running today because my legs have been dead all week. Wind was also blowing this morning. First 8 were 9:47, 10:18, 9:36, 9:26, 9:47, 9:22, 9:46, and 9:53. At 2.5 I started doing minute long pickups with 2 minute pace running in between. I think that helped me but I had too much on my mind and could not stay focused so I wasn't consistent. Multidirectional wind was blowing as well. Turned around at 8 and felt the wind more. Starting at 9 splits were 9:42, 9:34, 10:05, 10:03, 10::06, 10:38, 10:39, and 11:02. Miles 11- 16 was pretty strong headwind. Weather app said 19 mph. At 8.5 i started doing 2 minute pickups every half mile through 13. At that point i just tried to keep a consistent pace. I was at 2:08:30 at half marathon. Overall pace was 9:59 per mile. 2:40:31 for the 16 plus miles. |
