5.26 miles today at 2:00pm and man it was hot.Thats about as far as I can go without water.But the heat will make me tougher mentally as a runner. Right??

you are right. Give it a couple weeks and it won't feel as hot. When I ran home on Tuesday, it surprised me that 88F didn't seem too bad.

5 miles is about the limit for no water. Thats pushing it. Have you run with a handheld bottle before?

Thanks Mike, Tougher mentally and physically also. There are studies to prove that training in the heat facilitates the growth of capillaries in the sweat glands of the skin and an increase in blood volume. But only to a certain extent. Careful out there! I have been to Kentucky, I tell people all the time the heat here is nothing like it is in the southeast.
