800 wu.

1.5 mile pace repeats; 8:34, 8:20, 8:25.  800 jog inbetween.

 800 cool down.

I was still pretty sore from the half last Saturday.  Cheryl kept me going.

I wish I would have packed two pairs of running shoes on this trip.  I don't like using my race shoes during training runs.

800 wu; 6x800; 800 cd.  My splits are about 15 seconds slower than last year.  I guess that is what I get for starting to train so late in the season.

We ran the first 13 miles up hill.  Cheryl lost her cell phone and we back tracked a couple of miles before we found it in the High School bathroom.  We were planning on running 22 miles but had to cut it short because I called my mother-in-law at mile 14 and she was pretty irritated with me that I was going to be a few minutes late.  Cheryl and I ran faster at pace for the next four miles and then tempo for the last.

I tried to do repeat 800s through West Yellowstone.  Not a great workout.  I ended up just walking around town and window shopping.

Emigration Canyon - Wasatch Bike Trail - Mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon - Old Mill trail - Holladay Blvd - Cheryl's home.

22.3 miles pace ave 10:15 including stops and 3 bathroom breaks (I need to work on cutting down on the bathroom...)

 Pre-run: banana, 4 advil, 1/2 bar

during run: 1 1/2 Gu, gatorade, 3 salt tabs, 3 gum

Overall, I felt pretty good.  My knees were a little tight because i spent the entire day yesterday at Lagoon in flip flops.  I called it my "Lagoon Legs."    We finished the last three miles with one tempo mile and two pace.  I still had some steam left.

I had to cut this run 4 miles short because I slept in.  I'm still a little jet-lagged from my "Western" trip.

knees tight.  I have to still work on the bathroom breaks...

Also, I haven't been grocery shopping in over a month.  The only thing I could think of to eat mid-run was a can of pears.  I guess that is better than nothing.

It is getting dark quicker.  I stopped at home and grabbed a headlamp and Gunner after only 1 mile.  The run didn't last long.

First three miles were brisk.  I stopped to pick up Gunner and it was stop and go after that.  I'm trying to get use to running with a hunting dog and poop bags.  He pointed at a cat and three deer.  He seemed to run in stride after 3&1/2 miles.
