| | 6:15 a.m. 20miles Bike. I felt really weak today. Lucky me, it was supposed to be an easy workout anyhow. 10:30 p.m. Went Long Boarding 3.5 miles. Was feeling restless, but come to find out I was still fatigued for the board. Was really pretty and nice out...I enjoyed the solitude. | Add Comment |
| | Sick all day...slept most of it. Walked 1 mile. | Comments(2) |
| | Got up early, felt much better today. But I slept hard and don't think I moved all night and woke with my right clavicle hurting. SO swimming was out..Just picking up a gallon of milk kills. So I waited all day and tried light movement with my arm to see if it would work the kinks..pinched nerve, or whatever it is out..but to no avail. I went to the mall to look for a parade worthy shirt. I will be riding with other Fezzari cyclists in the Provo Freedom Parade on Monday. I hadn't heard back from Heath what the dress code was so I went looking for something festive and came home with Well...Black and White.. That is what I wear..Haha. So I spent 2 hours at the mall...Bleh..and on my drive home Heath finally tells me that I should wear a Fezzari Jersey which I don't have..so They will bring me one..hope it fits as cute as this tank I bought. :P It's getting dark..might go boarding again..if I do I will tell you. Happy 4th of July Eve everybody! :) | Comments(10) |

| | Ran with Hubby nice and easy. Wore my Vff's which I am not used to but they felt fine the entire run. It was super hot and I carried water to drink, which I never used to do in my rookie days of running. Now with increasing numbers of workouts I need to keep up with hydration and fuel so I can feel good the next workout! |

| | Drove out to Midway to ride the BAM course I will be racing Aug 7th. I will be doing the Olympic Distance. The elevation is only slightly higher than where I am now..I am at 4850ft. And Midway is 5423 where I started. It was nice and COOL which I like..at 8:30a.m. This course was nuts tho..I had estimated something crazy like 10 turns on the course but just now looked and there are about 20 turns. Way to slow the momentum down..haha. 24.48miles Walked a few miles in the Evening. 2 to be exact. | Add Comment |
| | Coach Heath invited me to Bike Alpine loop with him and Sarah, Nate, and Spencer. They are all VERY fast and strong cyclists. Why he invited me I do not know. I was excited to do it, I had never rode it before. After about 13.5 miles with the group I started feeling faint and was worried I would get to the point of extreme fatigue and need to be picked up. So I turned around just a mile or two past Timp Cave Monument and went back home. It was also 97 Plus Degrees! (1pm, we started) Eeee. I want to do Alpine loop again but after my next race, on Aug 7th. I will start at 5:30am since I am not acclimated to the heat whatsoever. 29.74miles Had just a few hours to refuel and hit the Track for a group workout. I did a 1.25mile wu, then: 3x800 @ 33:17, 3:06, 3:11 2x400 @ 1:20, 1:20 3x800 @ 3:11, 3:12, 3:07 Then just a little .25mi wd. Total time 35:49 Had great energy for this workout despite the heat, but then the efforts were short in duration, so not too big a deal. :D |

Easy recovery Swim today. 2500yds. Had a 500yd wu followed by 1x50, 1x100, 1x150, 1x200. Repeat 4x. Still feeling Saturdays race, combined with, this weeks workouts, combined with my general low energy levels. So it was really nice to chill in the pool with no time requirements. :D Wen't back to the gym later (8pm) for Weights. I haven't done any seriously since November, and felt really great doing it...super pumped. Probably led to sleep problems later! I worked chest and arms but cut it short to be on the safe side. So GOOD to be back at the weights. I really need to make it a priority. Makes me feel complete. | Comments(4) |
| | Was going to run a 12 miler early this a.m., but I was only able to sleep from 1:30a.m. to 3:30a.m. Very fitful night. Got tired just about 5:30a.m. when I was supposed to be running already. So impromptu rest day. I will run tomorrow instead, Let's hope for feeling great. :D Oh, I did foam roll my legs and golf ball my feet. That was good. | Comments(4) |
| | Got up early (5:45a.m.) and ran with Hubby. We went nice n slow up Provo Canyon from our house and back. 12.05mi 2:00:21/9:59 I'm officially starting training for St. George Marathon. This is my longest run since January. We will see how that goes. :P |

| | I got too much runner high yesterday and just did WAY too much all day and then even tho I was tired, I could not rest. I had yet another rough night! So instead of fighting it I slept much of the day. No workouts. I did Foam Roll (40 minutes) right next to hubby while he watched a Kevin Costner baseball movie. I'm sure he loved my endless comments. :D | Add Comment |
| | Bike-Run-Bike Brick Kept thinking I had already posted this. Hit this brick early a.m. Any workout before 9am is early for me. :) Biked 15 @ 19.7mph (below 21mph goal) Ran 3.03 20:56/6:55pace (goal 7pace) Biked 10 @ 19.2mph (below 20mph goal) Then a bike wd for a total of 31miles This is kind of a bummer post but I just thought I'd show that I don't always have an amazing day..haha. :D I used the Roll for 30min also. I have been doing this instead of stretching as much. |

| | Had a 10miler planned for this a.m. @ 8pace. Hit it in 77:42/7:45pace. This I did in two loops. Stopped for 2 sec at home to grab some Hammer Gel and water. I Have been trying to fuel during workouts to get my body used to race day situations. By Ironman next May I need to have the nutrition down pat. I have just barely started fueling during workouts and I hope to have some good experience before my Half Iron at the end of August. Swam 3350yd this afternoon. I haven't been swimming much lately so this was kind of hard. I felt really distracted and not focused..Noticed people staring at me swimming and really haven't ever noticed that before. Weird. I must have been splashing alot. Foamroller, golf and Tennis ball fun 22min Started taking a low dose Iron supplement today. I have managed to get 150-200% of my Daily iron just in food, well for a week and a half now. It takes forever to restore Iron come to find out. Can take 2-6 months. Wish me Speed on that. :( Anyhow if you aren't up to date, I had my blood tested and my ferritin is pretty low. |

| | South Fork Repeats Brick Started just after noon in the 48% humidity. It ended up being an amazing fun workout. Rode from my home to Vivian, then rode to the top of South Fork 3x hard. Total 42.26miles (2300elevation gain) Right when I got home I ran 4 miles/7:50pace off the bike and by then it was scorching hot..glad I drank tons on the bike..56 oz to be exact. :) The last bit of my run I was so tired it was funny to me...usually I never find that funny. I must have been delirious. Went with coaches group at 6 and swam a little over a mile in Deer Creek Reservior. I don't know what it is but I love love love open water swim. |

| | Surprise! I rested today too. :P Not feeling well again. Will spare you the long story. I did wake at 4:30am to join a club in a swim/bike/run excursion but was just not well enough. Then Plan two was to run with hubby at 5:30am. We got a half mile into it and he was sick..so we walked home and I Fretted till about 7:30 and went back to bed. VERY happy news is my 7th grade son Jordan barely made weight to be in the middle weight division of tackle football, and his preferred coaches team! We helped him drop 5 pounds by restricting carbs and sodium. He made it by a Half Pound! :D My family went camping so I could have some time to myself..I went to Barnes and Noble and looked at cook books and Nutrition books, for 5 hours! Then I went home and made Amaranth Carrot Cookies, and had 3 of them with Almond Milk. 6Tbsp Veg Oil 1/2 c.Raw Agave Syrup 6 Tbsp Water 2 c. Amaranth Flour 2/3 c. Arrowroot Starch 1 tsp Baking soda 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1 tsp. Cinnamon 2 tsp. Vanilla 2/3 c. grated Carrot 2/3 c. Raisins Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Lightly oil cookie sheet. Combine dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix wet with dry, and add carrots and raisins. Use a medium size spring scoop or..what I did was roll the dough between my lightly oiled hands. U may want to press them a little flat or you will get a little round cookie. Cook till lightly brown. I made my cookies really small, which would yield 24 cookies. Baked for 12 minutes. Oooh Just had a 4th. Those are filling. O.o I love you so here is a pix. :D | Comments(4) |
