This is difficult to write...

I have been struggling with knee pain off and on since last August.  I was hoping it would subside, but it has become progressively worse...to the point of pain all the time.

I cannot run at all.  I have difficulty even walking up and down stairs.

I finally went to see a doctor a couple weeks ago.  X-Rays were completly negative for Arthritis, even though the doctor was CONVINCED that my knee would be full of it with the years of running.

Next step was an MRI.  I received my results yesterday and I have a COMPLETE TEAR of the inner Meniscus on my right knee.

Running is now completely out of the question for the foreseeable future.  I meet with the Orthopaedic Surgeon on Thursday and we will see what he recommends.

To say that I am totally crushed is an understatement.  Running those 2 Marathons last summer/fall made me the happiest I have been in YEARS.  I was in the best shape I had been in for YEARS.  Now I will have to start over...probably MONTHS from now.
