Started running in 2001. Have completed over 100 marathons and ultras since then.
Marathon PR 2:56:04 (2005 St. George)
New PR 2:53:24 (2008 Tucson)
Finished 2nd Overall in 2005 Utah Grand Slam to Paul Peterson. He beat me by 30 min in every race.
1/2 Marathon PR 1:23:56 (2008 Just Cuz Half Marathon)
Completed the Utah Grand Slam 10 consecutive years (2003-2012). I don't know if anyone else has done that.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Be consistent in my Riding. Build to 135 miles a week.
Drop a few lbs.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Maybe Run again someday.....if my knee allows it!
I'm in the 55-59 Age Group.....Yikes!

Rode around Daybreak on a warm morning.
Bike 6.00 Miles
15 mile bike ride on my used to be 15 mile running route out to the top of Satterfield and back. Warm morning.
Knee is getting better. It's now been 24 days since my surgery.
Bike 15.00 Miles.
10 miles on the bike on the Daybreak Loop. Nice morning. Knee a bit stiff.
Bike 10.00 miles.
I rode the bike out to the Mt View Corridor trail and went North to 7800 and then back with a loop out through the newer section of Daybreak by the Watercourse they are building.
Bike 16.25 miles.
I rode West on Tyhee, South on Rio Vista, then west on Siphon past the airport and back. Nice morning.
Bike: 20.45 miles
It was a warm (75) morning. I was actually glad this morning to be a biker right now and not a runner. Too hot for me.

I rode out and back on the Mountain View Corridor trail.
Bike: 16.25 miles.
Same route as yesterday. Another nice morning in SoJo.
Bike: 16.21 miles.
Today I altered my route and climbed the hill on the MVC trail from 7800 S to 6200 S before turning around. It's a 9% grade for a large section. Good workout!
Bike: 16.31 miles.
I rode West on Siphon Rd until the pavement ended, then turned South until I hit the freeway and came back on the frontage road past the old FMC plant.
Bike: 30.60 miles.
