| Today I woke up feeling very fat and lethargic. All of the fitness gains I got from my P90 workouts seemed to have faded away as I have not worked out consistently in the past month or so. I have also spent way to much time in the drive up of fast food restaraunts. Today I just feel like a big fat beached whale. I have hit bottom. It's time to start over. A fresh start. We have an 8k race in my home town in July. I'm going to train for it. I have about 3 months which is plenty of time if I start NOW. I will. As I look at my past I have determined that I personally need three things in order to be successful in my fitness goals: 1. A specific measurable time/race goal. 2. A group to train with. 3. Change things up when it gets stale ie run new routes, new races etc. Today I got on the treadmill for 30 minutes alternating walking 4 min and running 1 min. yes, I'm really in that bad of shape. But, I'm a big believer in looking forward, not back!! |

| Been gone a long time. Enjoyed P90 and P90X. Now it feels like time to get back to running. I decided today that I will run a local 5k in mid September. Went to a beautiful park this afternoon and walked 30 minutes briskly. Hey, gotta start somewhere. I'll walk again on Saturday and then start adding in some running on Monday. I'm going to ease into this like a beginner who has never run before.
