Ryan's loop with Ryan in the stroller.  First time he has joined me in 2010 and I wasn't used to pushing him.  It made for some slow miles.  My lower abs and groin are killing.  I made a chiropractic appointment for next Tuesday.  Hopefully it helps.

Desperate Housewives loop to the HS followed by laps around the xc course and then home.  My abs/groin are totally messed up.  I don't think I should have ran today as I'm now feeling much worse.  If I could do it again I would have slept in and taken the day off.  We'll see how I'm feeling Monday morning after resting tomorrow.

6 miles with Ryan and then 4 by myself.  Abs/groin didn't hurt like Saturday but they don't feel 100%.  I was planning on taking today and Tuesday off with a trip to the Chiro tomorrow night but the appointment was postponed until Thursday.  I didn't feel like I could take 4 days off from running.  Needless to say, this week may be hit or miss with mileage.

7 miles on the Hospital Loop.  I've been avoiding this course due to the hills but I'm feeling a bit better so I thought I'd give it a try.  Pain was minimal and that encouraging.

AM: 10 miles on the Tigard HS loop.  I overdressed and was much to hot after just a few minutes.  Feeling ok but tired from lack of sleep.  Hopefully more miles tonight.

Interesting morning.  There was a 5K in Hillsboro that I had wanted to race.  The course profile looked great for a pr--open roads, pancake flat with few turns.  The weather cooperated also as it was 50 degrees and zero wind.  What didn't cooperate was my lower abs and groin.  So frustrating...

I drove to the race and ran 9 miles before the start.  I threw in a few strides now and then to test things out and each time felt worse.  It's to the point that pain is nearly zero for an easy pace but if I pick up the pace it's a different story.  Anyway, decided that racing would be pointless today.

I jumped in my car and drove to the Nike headquarters in Beaverton to try and salvage the morning.  I've wanted to run around the Nike complex since moving here and so today was my chance.  I found the wood-chip trail and ran 1.5 laps (3 miles?) and then a few laps on the track as well.  At the side of the track was a life-size sculpture of Michael Johnson, complete with golden spikes from the 96 Olympics in Atlanta.  Very cool environment to run in/around.

Not sure what to do about my abs.  Seems like some time off is in the cards if the situation doesn't change soon.

Tigard HS loop on 124th, plus Sequoia street and home.  The battery on my garmin died during the run so I wasn't sure time/distance but I thought it was more than 11.5 miles.  That's unfortunate because I wanted to take advantage of the day off from work.  Oh well...

Hospital loop.  Things seem to be improving and now it's just the left side of my groin that's tight.  Hopefully I can continue to turn the corner and put this issue in the rear-view mirror.

Looks like I'm done for a bit. Abs/groin took a turn for the worse. Painful night of sleep last night and I just want to be done with it all. No running today through Sunday and not next week either if I feel that more rest is needed.

4 miles around the HS track and cross country course.  Felt ok...but not better.

6 miles tonight after work.  My abs hurt while sleeping last night so I didn't run in the morning.  Felt better by the end of the day so I tried 6 miles and felt ok.  Maybe turning a corner?  Pain was noticeable only on the left side of my groin and a little in my abs.  No pain on the right side.

8 miles this morning.  Had planned on 10 but only made it 8 before walking the last 2 miles.  I'm done with this $&*#!  Not running again until I feel better.  Looks like the last 5 months have been for nothing and Shamrock, Pear Blossom and a spring marathon are waving bye-bye.
