50 min arc trainer and 40 minutes elliptical. I've been working my core at home these days along with a lot of stretching for my issues.

I think I am going to very reluctantly register for 2 run13 5k's on May 7th, and on May 28th.  Last year I was 4th female on the first one, and the open female winner of the 2nd one. This year I had goals to be the open winner on both. I may not be able to run right now, but those will still be my goals. I know  I have the drive and the determination to do it.

And as a side note, I think it's pretty cool that I can race all distances and do very well. I don't shine in just one distance and I feel really proud of that. I have sorta conquered them all   :)

Which distance is your favorite? I think the 10k might be mine. :) not too long, not too short, easier to train for.

From Lily on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 11:30:05 from 67.199.181.73

I LOVE to race 5ks! I know they are short, but there is something about going out fast and running till you feel like you're going to relph. But it's cool because you know it's going to come to an end quickly so it's all good.

But after the marathon last summer, I now have a huge love for the marathon. I hope to go back to Logan this year and cut 8 or 9 minutes of my debut marathon time. I can hope that I'll make it there in one piece right? :)

That is actually pretty cool. I'm not actually super good at any distance and certainly the shorter they get the worse I get. I'm writing a book about being 'average'. Seriously, I am. It's gonna be good.

yeah you could definitely run a sub 3 marathon!

From Scott Wesemann on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 13:49:37 from 66.239.250.209

Now it's time to conquer the 50! :)

Also, what Jun said, except for the part about the book.

You really are an all around wonderful runner. I think you should sign up for the races - give you something to look forward to!

Looking at your PRs you do have great range! I hate 5Ks with a passion. It's awesome that you signed up for those 5Ks and I also bet you're the type that gets in shape fast, even after a long layoff--especially the way you crosstrain. Sub3 will be a walk in the park for you once you're in shape--you got some of that natural talent!

How much for an autographed copy of your book Jun?

From Teena Marie on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 17:19:31 from 67.2.102.143

Seriously ... not many people can say that they run as well as you do at all distances. I won't even sign up for a 5K because I know how weaksauce I am at that distance.

Sidenote: I would also like a copy of Craig's "good" book about being "average." :)

From DaleG on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 19:31:26 from 173.151.96.243

Very cool. I bet you'll be ready by then.

Nice post! keep the positive stuff going, it'll get you there! Really awesome you are so strong at all distances, shows how deep your overall fitness is, it ain't going away anytime soon!

Ultras.... here you come!

From jun on Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 10:26:01 from 66.239.250.209

Sorry Lily, I'm going to disagree. I don't think you should run ultras. I mean seriously, I'm already stressed that Kelli is going to kick my butt. I don't need the mental anguish of knowing that you would shame me too. You would kill it in the ultra world, that's for sure.

From Lily on Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 11:32:42 from 67.199.181.73

Awww thanks dudes. Umm jun, I had already planned to run an Ultra this year. I will get good at it just you wait ;)

speaking of this race I have been meaning to ask you what size shirt you got last year? I'm thinking about doing this race or the thanksgiving point race on April 30th. I can't decide between the small or medium. sometimes I feel like the smalls are not quite long enough. tell me your thoughts :)

From Lily on Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 22:47:22 from 67.199.181.73

I got a medium last year. It fits well. I think a small might not be quite long enough. I really like these shirts, they are the best looking ones I've gotten at any race.

From Merri on Thu, Feb 17, 2011 at 11:30:33 from 160.7.252.148

I agree they are the best looking shirts.
