I woke up a little earlier than planned and couldn't sleep, so I got up and went to the gym for 30 min and worked my core and a few weights. I left and stopped at the store for a few things (dinner roast mmmm). Well in the meat section some lady who was shopping looks over at me and says: 'My, aren't you up a little early to be out shopping?" Uhhhh, excuse me fatty McGee, aren't YOU up a little early to be out shopping? I was just at the gym, what's your reason? People seriously need to mind their business.

Went home and put my few groceries away and met Merri at 6. Away we went on the benjamin/lake shore loop. It's a 7 mile round trip. Miles 5 and 6 are straight incline and up a good sized hill and over the freeway. The wind was blowing against us and it was rough for a bit there. But we made it. Those inclines and hills with wind will only make us stronger. There was a little dog along that road that we thought looked like a wild rabid dog. He kind of chased is for a min there. (think pepper spray) :).

Dropped Merri off and I continued up the road for another mile.  I think this summer Merri and Lyns and I will all be back running together like the good old days (summer 09'). Good times.

I love the good old days of running for fun with friends!! You will have a great summer of running/training with friends!! Training for St. George was one of my favorites!!

If I have to shop at Walmart, believe me, I go after the gym around 6:30. It's best that way. LOL

Kelli I keep hoping the best for you. I know you'll get better. I can't help but wonder if it was that Buffalo run that started your new little injury. Julie's husband Adam is having a few problems with shins now. I just can't help but wonder you know? And 5 am store deals. Sometimes I get the first pick of the meat they throw on sale :)

Funzo you crack me up!

Thanks Steam and Carina. I do tend to wake up most mornings feeling energized for my workouts. Somedays tho...zombie mode zzzzzzzzz :)

And running with Merri is good fun. We chat about EVERYTHING. Us chics like that sorta thing. And the beautiful views of Spanish Fork are amazing!

From Kelli on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 21:33:39 from 71.219.96.115

OH, I know it was the 50 miler. My calves cramped up BAD and I still ran another 32 miles. It put pressure on my achilles. THEN I only took 5 days off from running, which was a mistake, but I had a 50k to get ready for. THEN, the 50k just did me in. I was dumb, it is my fault! However, it is really minor compared to what others have dealt with (you included!)

When Smith's has really GOOD sale, I go at 6 am to get my pick of the stuff. They know me well.

Great job, Lily. I had insomnia until almost 4am Tuesday night and about 3:15 I seriously consider getting up and hopping on the bike for a little while.

Mike - we played that a few times when we lived in West Virginia. It wasn't much fun when someone yelled bingo before getting out of the car. Switched to blackout and we'd get inside the door.
