Biceps and triceps in the weights today.

I ran 5 miles on the dreadmill with a big smile on my face and a happy heart. I really do love to run. I ran a good 13 min warm up. Then I proceeded to turn up the speed to a 6:35 pace and hold it. Then some up-downs up-downs for awhile.

20 min elliptical.

I decided I would like to run UVM 1/2 in June. And the lofty goal I have set for myself is to win it for the females. Even if I don't, I like to have a goal each new year. And I like a good challenge. Here's to spring training. I am so excited already.

Hey, I was working my bi's and tri's this morning too... flex flex!!! :)

Gotta love those up and downs. ;)

I love your goal. That is awesome.

Awesome goal Lily. I have no doubt that you can hit it, especially with your amazing training! Keep it up.

UV is such a great race. The half-marathon course is great - not overly aided, but its FAST! Love the shooting for big goals!!!

Thank you guys. I do have big goals. I think it's good to do that. Makes us dig deep and work harder. Nothing wrong with hard work!

Lindsey Dunkley just said she may run it. She is notably known as the fastest Women in Utah. And that is no lie.

Well you couldn't be too disappointed finishing after her... I'm one of the very few MEN around here who can beat her in a race :-)

Seriously though - keep setting the big goals. Most people don't realize how high their ceilings really are. And even less people make a honest effort to truly realize their potential. As I said before running Philly, being on that journey where you really believe you are capable of something special is worth the effort and time, in and of itself.

You are amazing Lily! Good for you for already thinking about Spring training and setting goals. Cheers to an awesome 2012 running season. :D

Jake I would totally love to run that race with Lindsey there. It would make me push harder. She has been such a big cheerleader to me this last year. She 'retired' and I tried to talk her into running a marathon. But holy crow, she is amazing to watch.

I know you are right about the big goals. I know that honest efforts pay off in the end. I ran very mediocre for so long until I pushed and pushed outside of my comfort zone and made breakthroughs. I continue to do that even now (heaven knows my BUTT knows it, it hurts!) And BELIEVING is the glue that will hold it all together. I know this! Yep!

Cheering for you!!! I will be behind you about a mile!! :D.
