7.75 on the tm. I really need the weather to be better outside. Julie and I talked a bit on and off for the first 30 minutes, but once I got into a groove things just rolled. I ended doing a tempo run. I got to 5 miles in 34 minutes. I saw my older brother at the gym this morning, which is always a nice surprise. He ran for quite some time and I was impressed. Our younger brother (he's just a year younger than me) has a huge potential to be a very fast runner. However he doesn't want to get all skinny in it's process, since he isn't that big to begin with. He had some blood work done a year or 2 ago and it showed that he had a high blood oxygen level. The doc asked if he was a runner, he told the Doc: no, not much. The Dr. said 'well you should be'. He did do a UHP test where he had to run 2 miles under 12 minutes and he got it in the bag in 11 min even. Maybe the blood oxygen thing runs in the family. I'll take it :)

I've been wearing this lifestrength bracelet for about a week. I've found that I have been sleeping deeper during the night and not waking up. Strangely, I do feel more balanced during workouts as well. And I'm not one easily convinced...

5k Sat. and another free 5k in American Fork with Merri and Tammy(neighbor) on Monday. Fun fun. Or is it? I dunno...

Also lifted weights today.

Two miles in under 12 min? Wow he's not even a runner and he's already faster than Burt. Don't tell Burt I said that :)

;) Burt is such a challenging competitor. I lose sleep over it.

Just imagine if he had one of those bracelets...

From Lily on Tue, May 24, 2011 at 12:00:47 from 67.199.178.210

I know...all the dirty work he could do.

From Calvin on Tue, May 24, 2011 at 12:20:25 from 209.23.216.3

could you lift more weights wearing the bracelet? but probably with just the one arm, huh.

From Oreo on Tue, May 24, 2011 at 14:14:38 from 206.81.136.61

I heard those bracelets have medicinal propertys too...

From Lily on Tue, May 24, 2011 at 18:20:31 from 67.199.178.210

Calvin what I really need is for the bracelet to give me the strength to stay away from chocolate. Do you think it will oblige? I didn't think so...

kidding-

Oreo I think we need to fit you with a lifeStrength bracelet!

Marketing gimmick

LOL you guys are cracking me up.

But seriously, I've been wearing this almost 2 weeks and I am sleeping like a bear during winter.Either way, it was only 20 dollars so I don't feel cheated if it's a placebo effect :)

From Kam on Tue, May 31, 2011 at 13:36:37 from 68.66.163.179

$20? That's only 40x the cost of manufacturing the bracelet. I'm glad you are sleeping well. Insomnia sucks. I wonder if you bought another one for your other wrist, would you have even better sleep and workouts, because then you'd be completely balanced, left to right? Also, do they make ankle sizes, because then the benefits would translate more rapidly to your legs...

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, May 31, 2011 at 14:03:20 from 75.196.15.125

I saw the bracelet people at the expo in Boston and I thought it was cool how they used the same demo as my neighbor who was selling "super oxygenated" water. Stand on one leg, arms out while I push you off balance when you don't expect it. Now try "product" and stand on one leg, arms out while I push you off balance when you DO expect it. See how much more balanced you are!?
