45 min elliptical, 7 miles running the river trail. That was to much today on my sore quads. What is it with me and doing things when I should rest? Duuuur. I always realize when I'm in the thick of it (like on the actual run) that I am doing to much and pushing to hard.

Last Saturday Aubrey Yoachum from here in S.F. told me she wouldn't be running the Speedy Spaniard on Monday here in Spanish Fork (she was the 1st woman through the finish line last year from Spanish Fork, I was 2nd) so she said something to the effect that I need to show up representing. :) It made me smile but it also scared the foshizzle out of me. Pressure! I'm not worried, between Merri and I and all the other good runners from around here, there is a few of us that will bust it out. I love that race!

Everybody pop over to Rachelle's blog. She is new to the blog. Some of us down this way know her. She runs fantastic!

No pressure. Run your race and you'll get the result you want, no matter what.

Awww thanks for the shout out Lily! I definitely hear you on pushing to hard when you should take it easy. I have an incredibly hard time backing down.

Don't stress about the race, these summer races are suppose to be fun! So have fun and keep the bigger picture (SGM) in mind. I personally think that mixing marathon training with short distance races is tricky business!

SOOOOO glad I am not from SF. I have no idea about busting out anything at that windy uphill first mile race. Are we sure that course is accurately named Speedy Spaniard? My HR went up 10 bpm just thinking about running that thing. MAJOR RACE ANXIETY. That is why I like longer races because after 6 miles I am CALMED down. So basically I am with it for .2 miles of a 10k : D. Good luck and see you there!!

No pressure. Go out and have fun and do what you do.

Ooooh, I can't wait to see reports from SF on Monday! Fun times down in the 'hood! :)

Nice job today Lily. I think we all tend to over-do most of the time...that's what makes us crazy runners!
