Good day.  great weather.  nice long weekend.  Landed Saturday night about 730 pm.   Went to dinner at Olive Garden by the Manchester Airport.

Slept great.

up for breakfast at hotel and it was raining, drizzling but later down pour for like 8 minutes while we were heading back from expo to the parking garage.

expo about 1140 am.  stayed an hour.  bough my first time jacket for a 30 year veteran of this race.

no big expections except finish under 4 hours.  got to start at 920.  troy and i left hotel about 830-840.  porta potty line for 20 min.  sat on grass with my throw away warm blanket with socks and shoes off all on my own in a crowd. Met a guy from colorado that his wife missed qualifying by 17 secs but is now running utah valley june 7th for which i am a pacer I told him.  small world.  I reassured she would make the goal at uv :D

porta potty line for 12 min.

shorts time.  metal blanket time.  wore a long sleeve on the walk with some fuzzy gloves.  but those came off and thrown to the side of road at mile 1.5 and the shirt around my waist all of the run. It helps stabilize my back and I feel naked without that support.

I WAS SURPRISED HOW I FELT IN THIS RACE.  NO WALL UNTIL 24.8.  I HONESTLY THOUGTH I WAS GONNA BE ABLE SPRINT TO THE FINISH BUT THE LAST MY I COULD BARELY MOVE MY LEGS (SEEMED LIKE A BACK ISSUE BUT ALSO NAUSE LIGHT HEADED).   BUT MAN ALL THE MILES BEFORE THAT SUPER EASY NO ISSUES.  BARELY SLOWED IF AT ALL AT HEARTBREAK.  OR ANY OF THOSE HILLS.  I had to pee (even though I peed again , three times in 75 min at a porta potty along the walk to my corral TOO!).  I had to pee for 12 miles.  I looked every porta potty taken at each place but I knew from last year there were a lot after mile 12 so I was able to stop there (8:49 mile ;D).  Then had ptsd from a wall at mile 16 last year but I didn't get one.  My legs felt great entire time.  Just around mile 18 to 23 I had to rub my butt muscles and lower back and a little at my groin/pubic area (where I had surgery) but as soon as I did that a few times I was good.  I  had oatmeal with walnuts and almonds and brownsugar, two small waffles, cheesy omelet and a hard boiled egg and orange juice around 745 am.  I had half a min choc chip cliff bar on bus.  Then no more to drink before race bc I was already peeing too much.  I took water and gatorade every other mile without fail.  I took a ucan right before starting (mango) and a plain at mile 5 and mango at mile 10 and grabbed a maurten off the course for mile 15 and 20 and instead of 25 took one at 24...which I think caused my blood sugar to spike and make me light headed and my legs to stop working.  I felt really strong through the hills and really thought 19 was flat or down.   Only heartbreak seemed like a hill but it was so short and then i was heading down.  I took two ibuprofen at mile one and every hour (so total of 8).
