Ran an even breezier pace today then yesterday.  Troy is fatigued and I don't care to push it.  First mile 9:30.  Ran a loop that included the American Fork High School Track.  Troy was unaware of our lay over, but hey he got to rest and time me.   1st lap with a "tailbreeze" @ 82 seconds!!! Hello!!  That would be a tough margin to keep up at without going all out so the second, having a "headbreeze" I came in at 84 seconds.  The END.  Ran home for a total of 5.1.  Pace a breezy 9:02.  Did anyone hear the forecast last night for the SGM?   83 degrees and BREEZY in all caps.  Hence the overuse of BREEZE * in my log today.

* Breeze- a light sustained wind.

As long as it's a tailBREEZE, I'll take it! WOW your laps are FAST! You run like the wind. So impressive!

400's! You are going to BREEZE right through your 3:00 and a little change marathon!

We can handle it if it is just a breeze, please let it be a cool breeze! Dang, I was hoping for rain!!!

Good luck this weekend.

trust me, you don't want rain. Last year a slight breeze turned into pelting rainstorm for 3 1/2 hours and more!!! No worries...this year BREEZE = sustained movement to a desired goal : DDDDDDDDDD

We loved the rain last year, really!!!! I did not have to drink and mu husband did not get hot and cramp up!! BUT, we have a lot more meat on our bones than you skinny little people, so it did not affect us in the same way. I remember talking to Peggy afterward and her lips were blue.

Okay, so no rain, but the 70's would be nice!

BTW, good luck. You will do AWESOME.

I thought you were there. You loved it? I thought a warm rain would be nice but yes the cold windy rain removed any armor of warmth left in me...I never warmed up in that race. It was Survivor run for me. I had a target plastic bag tied to the top of my head...I looked ridiculous in the marathon photos.

That is hilarious! I wonder if we can still find photos of that, they would make great blog photos!

I am a super warm blooded person. I prefer to run in about 40 degrees, and even then I wear shorts. I have a lot of meat on me to keep me warm. I was very glad I had a visor on to keep the rain out of my face, though. And all of the rain made it so I only took one drink ever the entire race. I did not get any blisters on my feet or lose any toenails. So, for me the rain was BE-UTAFUL. I was super cold when it was over, then it hit.

BUT, none of that this year. We will think it is raining with all of the sweat that is pouring off of us.
