Started out me, Bake, and Fre singing. Then Bake and everyone else left me and Jeff alone. It was an easy day, well I made it an easy day.

Last day of Wasatch Practice and we ran 16 60 second intervals with a 60 second jog in between. I really stayed consistent through each run so I was happy about that, I was always about the same distance behind my dad and Baker. Later on Jeff, Monty, and Willy moved up and ran the last couple real well. WASATCH IS GONNA AWESOME!

Leg 10- Our Team started at 3:00 PM. The six in the first van ran a lot slower than we thought they would. I guess the heat really sucked to run in. I started my leg at 9:12 PM. It started getting dark throughout my run, and I was feeling alright but I kept relaxed because I didn't want to run too hard for on my first leg. I got confused at the end on where to go, and the headlights of the oncoming cars were blinding me.  My run time was: 23:17.

Our Team Was:

Van 1: Paul Zabriskie (Coach),  Alex Baker, Zac Zabriskie, Adam Forsyth, Alex Busenbark, Eric Goold, and Jeff Frodsham.

Van 2: Ross Decker (Coach), RJ Smith, Aaron Montague, Steve Ott, Myself, Austin Smith, and Willy Heinrich.

Leg 22- After eating, watching my friends chase a skunk, and sleeping for about 45 mins. I was ready for my 2nd leg. I thought it was going to be 6.4 miles, but I heard that someone who had their Garmin had it at about 6.8 miles. I started this run at 4:19 AM. Steve O. ran his whole leg with some kid, so I tried keeping up with his brother during the beginning of my run but he was a lot faster than the kid Steve ran with so I let him go. During the run I was alone a lot of the time, and it was dark and scary. I probably passed 4 people and got passed by 2. I rolled my ankle at one point and it was starting to hurt al little, but I just stayed relaxed and finished the run. Run Time: 45:30.

Leg 34 (RAGNAR)- I wasn't even going to run ragnar, but about 3 weeks ago Aaron and I decided to switch places because I was in better shape. 12:17 PM- I got the "slap stick baton" from Steve and was real motivated to not walk and run real smart. I was running with my dad and he gave me awesome advice! Every .8 miles I would get water from my truck that I would pour all over my body to keep me cool (it really helped). About 2 1/2 miles into "Ragnar" I walked for about 15 seconds than kept running. I kept my strides real short to straighten out my back and whenever there was a flat part I ran fast in a relaxed way. I walked a little with about half a mile to go. I finished real strong when I saw the exhange zone. I passed about 18 people on Ragnar mainly because a lot of them were walking. Run Time: 44:48

LATER:

Everyone in my truck(vehicle 1) started to run with Willy with about 800 meters to the finish line. With about 300 meters to go everyone in vehicle 2 joined the group and all 12 of us ran to the finish line it was AWESOME! We got our medals and celebrated! We are definitely coming back next year! Our Finish time was: 22:59:59
