| AM 8 miles before taking kid number 2 to doctor (got pushed off 8 foot high retaining wall and can't put weight on her foot, but is ok). Run felt super slow at the start- seemed like 10 min pace, was actually 8:45. 8:00 pace by the end. 8 miles.

| AM 10 around ICAR. Saw two ladies picking blackberries so joined in for a mid-run snack. Late season (May/June is better) but still good. Warm and very humid, but my longest run in months. 79 min, so I'm estimating 10 miles.

| PM 7.5 at PM with Seth and Aaron on the hottest day of the year (~95 deg, feels like above 100). I felt pretty bad on the first climb but good by the end, but figured stopping when the rest did was smart to not overexhert, and have energy for frisbee tomorrow.

| AM- 8. Started off feeling pretty good and was doing sub 7:30 for a fair amount towards the end. Stayed off GE trails due to lots of rain last night (about 2 inches in under an hour, with LOTS of lightning)
Lunch- not as hot as Friday, but still plenty hot. 6v6 frisbee. My team won 5-1. Tired now.

| PM 10 miles (full loop plus a hair around Lake Placid) at Paris Mtn. There were 5 of us, the most in years, including Barry's first run in a long time. Seth and Barry split off early, Aaron stopped at 7.5, and Merle and I did the full loop. Hot today, but not near as hot as last week.

| AM- 7. Kind of slow, but not death march slow. All on GE trail, but no wildlife sightings of any sore. No people, either.
Lunch- a few degrees cooler than last week and overcast today, with almost no wind, so good summertime playing conditions. 10-13 people (a few injuries and early leavers). My team won 5-3. Really good game today all around, similar to Friday. No slackers on the field. However, the maxim held true- the team that was being outplayed at the start, wins the game to 5. My team was definitely outplayed the first 20 minutes with lots of unforced errors.

| AM- morning run, mostly on GE trail. 2 turkeys, 3 runners (looked like HS runners). Felt pretty sluggish at the start with 8:00 pace and thought of calling it quits. Started feeling better at 30 min, then felt real good at 45 min and picked up the pace quite a bit. Was running about 7:10 pace the last 3 miles or so. Then decided to actually do a little speed workout. Did 1 track loop (.68 miles) at 6:15 pace. Felt nice to run fast.
I signed up for the Moonshiner 5k, a night 5k trail race. I have won it 2 or 3 times, and it was my last competitive race 3 years ago. It will be my first race in over 2 years. I'm excited and actually feeling somewhat motivated to run well, on top of my 3x/week frisbee.
Ankle was hurting a bit, likely due to the shoes (400+ miles, 3.5 years old). Left them in the trash in the gym.

| AM- beautiful morning, 60 deg. Ankle feeling better but I'm being cautious so did 60 min bike.
Lunch- Very uneven teams today- my team was definite underdogs, and everyone recognized the big disparity (they probably had the 4 best throwers, and all of them were fast runners, while my team only had 3 runners). During the first 30 minutes, we got skunked. But then the real game started, and my team somehow won 5-2, aided by a tough zone defense and lots of hard work and patience. It had to be one of the biggest upsets I've seen. Then 5v5 game to 3, that we lost 3-1.
