Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

| Elliptical and treadmill - 40:00
20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill, mostly walking, but with 6 x 1:00 jogging segments at about 11:30/mile pace. Ankle felt perfectly fine.
2 months without much exercise, except for some upper body weights and light recumbent cylcing.

At the gym next to the hotel in San Diego. The hotel gym was actually a MMA center. I was a little out of place but tried my best.

Easy, tentative jog from the hotel along the bay path. Ankle was not 100% but not too sore if I stepped carefully. Average pace of about 8:50/mile. First actual run in about 2 months.

Nice afternoon out in shorts. Did some easy running in the neighborhood at about 8:35 - 8:40/mile. Need to be on absolutely flat because slants or dips in the road put additional strain on the ankle.
