Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

7 miles solo wandering through neighborhoods I have not run in for some time. (React Blue)

3 mile walk with Katelyn. (Launch Red)

Moved Katelyn out of the Cohort AirBnB today, COVID is running amok and she only has two weeks left.  Had two negative tests and has not been there since Thursday, so to be safe and prudent she will stay home until it is time to go back to school.

5 miles solo. (Altra Impulse)

Had dinner at a former colleague who retired recently.  She and her husband are a fantastic example of what retirement should be and we plan on following their model.  They showed us a slide show of one of their recent adventures that looked really cool and may get on our bucket list...they hiked teh Inca Trail to Machu Pichu!  Next trip is to New England for fun and to follow a concert they want to see!  They are more busy now then when they worked.

5 miles with Moxie, trying not to think about the frustrations at work. (React blue)

At home after work, I took a nap immediately after getting home then was asleep before 9pm.  Work is so busy that I am mentally and physically exhausted!

5 miles with Moxie very early (could not sleep).  Very productive run in regards to work...figure out a whole project approach in my head while running.  Got home, wrote it all down then went into work early to get it formatted and sent out for comment/collaboration.  (Altra Impulse)

2 miles walking for lunch to help clear head and think about work issues.

6 miles with Moxie early. (React Blue)

Got a blood draw today to further investigate m pulmonary embolism.  17 vials of blood for the tests!  So much that by the time we got to 10 vials I was lightheaded and ended up with a vasovasal syncopy event.  Not fun. Very tired the rest of the day even though I had to do work (on my day off).
