longest training run of the year so far-- 24 miles out n back, parked at corner of Sunnyside and bone rd. About 2700 feet elevation gain and descent. What I learned from this run: need new underwear! I think my old pairs are too old and that's why they chafe now. Ate peanut butter jelly sandwiches as fuel-- 1/2 sandwich every 40 minutes. Stomach was already upset from bad eating the last few days so not sure if I handled the sandwiches well? Or not? Energy was constant, probably need to eat more next time cause I was hungry while running. Finally, starting really slow will be a good idea in my longer races-- even a 5-hour marathon translates into a 20 hour hundred mile race!
