Morning shebang on the snowy pipeline trail from Burch Hollow to the overlook.  Cold and slightly windy.  Hit it up with my brother who was in from California.  Fun times... Oreo, wish you could have snowmobiled down.

Nice outing on a snowy morning. Where are you staying in Kauai? Have you been there before? Recomendations would depend on weather and distance to drive...If it is close and not too rainy (sp?) Kalalau for sure! Its epic, nothing else like it anywhere. If you are stayting in the South and don't have all day, or don't to bring everyone up North, do the 11 miler. Cool, but nothing like Kalalau as far as dificulty, views, or overall amazingness. Are you bringing other hiker/runners with you? The 11 miler could be hiked in 5-6 hours I would think. 11 miler, start in Kokee State Park, up Wiamia Canyon area, Park at trail for the Awa' awapuhi trail, Run or ride down road 1.5 miles to the Nu'alolo Trail out that to overlook, then back to the Nu'alolo Cliffs Trail which will connect to the Awa'awapuhi Trail and back to the car. When you connect go out the the overlook then back track up the Awa trail. 11.7 miles overall.

Also, if you are staying in the South run the trail starting at the Hyatt/ Shipwrecks Beach head down the coast follwing the cliff/shoreline to the east. Keep going as far as you want out and back, beautiful!!! 4 miles to the beach, keep going around the corner to get 8 miles or so. Trail is a little braided, but they all go to the same spot eventually. Coming back, stay high and left as you get close the the trail head, some trail go down left to a dirt road. Let me know if oyu need anything else, dont miss Hanalei Pizza, by the Big Save in the Market area.
