am: easy three. fun conversations. striders afterward. the ground was FREEZING. our feet felt like they were cheese and the ground was a cheese grater. it hurt pretty bad, i'm alright now.

pm: 4x1min workout with 2 warm and cool. goal time 5:07

coach had me put on hurdle out in the third lane for me to jump over every lap to kind of get used to for the steeple chase. it was pretty easy the whole time, but it kind of stopped my momentum and didn't help my workout at all. i used it for the first 2 and two laps of the third on and thats it. also there was a pretty good wind today again.

first mile i didn't hit any laps on right and just didn't get moving in time 5:12. second one was better but took a lot 5:08. third on was 5:12 again. and last one i made sure i hit a 5:07 so i could at least say i hit it once.

definatly my worst mile repeats yet. my fault i didn't get moving. but overall good day.

am: 3 miles. it was ok

pm: 12 miles with 20min tempo at 5:40 pace.

terrible terrible terrible.. we did 6 before we started the tempo, at about 8 min pace. then we did tempo and i hit a 5:43, 6:07, 6:18, 1:54 for .29 (6:34 pace) then we finished with ~3 more at about 10 min pace.

after thinking about what happened with yesterday and today (mostly today) i figured i haven't been drinking any gatorades for a year. i remember last year i needed to drink that a lot to help me keep my energy and so i need to start loading my body with that.

am: 4 with the team and coach. he's recovered pretty fast for having just ran a marathon.

pm: 2 warm and cool. workout on the track of 12x400's at 1:09 pace (hopefully two mile race pace!) splits: 1:10, 1:09, 1:08, 1:10, 1:09, 1:09, 1:10, 1:08, 1:09, 1:07, 1:04, 1:01.

very happy with this. i felt very good and for the first time this pre season training...smooth! i felt like i got my form back to how it should be on the workout. it helped the workout feel a lot easier then last week. the pace was almost natural/easy.  coach had us go all out on the last one. lifting after.

first race this friday (1600) and saturday (3200)!

am: easy 3. pretty decent

pm: 5 with 4x200's at the end at 34ish pace. felt good. took a bit to get warmed in it but other than that it was fine. afterward i worked on my hurdling for a big, and thats feeling a lot better.

Our meet got cancelled yesterday because of the weather. made me pretty mad because i really wanted to get a race in. now i wont be able to do all the events before our big Pine View meet. but no stress. it'll work out (fingers crossed)

am: 3 miles easy. rainy rainy.

pm: 7.5. well since the race was cancelled we did fire station hills instead. was a bit rainy and windy but not bad till we got back.

1.5 mile there and back then 13xtop of the hill ~.15mi. i felt good, which made me sad cause i felt i would've had a good race. i tried to go a bit easy at first so i could run even through the whole thing cause i knew we had a lot. splits were: 49, 50, 47, 47, 46, 46, 46, 45, 47, 46, 46, 45, 47. i worked on pumping my arms hard and quick feet. the last 2 were the hardest, but at the last bit of them felt good. overall good workout.
