Short-Term Running Goals:

-Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape.

Long-Term Running Goals:

-Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.

-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.

Personal:

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :)

6:26 pace, Farmer's fields. It felt like the first day of summer. I did 3 by 2:30 on (aka 800s) with no specific rest. Felt tired the whole time which was no surprised; if anything was surprising it is that my overall pace was so quick.

Como classic. Much like yesterday, it was a beautiful day, I ran relatively fast (6:46 pace this time), but I felt very tired and slow.

6:39 pace. I ran farmer's fields again this afternoon because I wanted to run that direction and I wanted to do the soft surface trail which is starting to look really good. It was a warm, humid day that had already had a little rain, but nothing while I ran. I felt super crummy, possibly for a couple of reasons.

Surprisingly quick 5:56 pace on a drizzly morning. It was my first run to Theo Wirth park this year; I had thought it wouldn't be worth it until the trees bloomed. I missed the race today which is a bummer but was the right thing for my family.
